The atmosphere in the hospital room became strange; no one dared to speak loudly, all afraid that the woman would turn her wrath on them.
An Yin listened to the insinuating remarks of others, feeling intensely stifled inside, yet she did not want to argue with them. Some people become more arrogant the more you try to reason with them.
She didn't want to waste her time on others, so An Yin turned her head, "Mom, you haven't had breakfast yet, have you?"
"I can't eat," An Ying said softly, looking at her daughter's caring eyes.
"That's not okay; you should get something to eat first."
Noticing the dark circles under An Ying's eyes, An Yin felt a pang of guilt in her heart. Ms. An had always been inconvenienced physically, but she stayed here all night taking care of her and clearly hadn't rested. Thinking about this made An Yin feel even more remorseful.
