By the second year, his condition slightly improved, but he still needed a long period of recuperation. Yet he wasn't content to stay put and began secretly returning home. His visits weren't long, lasting only two or three days before returning, but they were frequent, happening every two to three weeks. His body couldn't withstand such long-term exertion."
"Why?" Chloe Grant asked, not understanding. "Why wouldn't he just focus on recovering? Why did he insist on returning home?"
