When Chloe Grant woke up, she was a bit dazed.
She felt a warmth on her right cheek and was dumbfounded for almost a minute before realizing she was lying on Matthew Morgan's thigh!
She quickly got up, her short hair was messy and fluffy, making her face look particularly small.
Meanwhile, the events before she slept came flooding back into Chloe Grant's mind.
"To remove the chip, surgery is needed, and the wound needs to be stitched, so I had you drink some water with anesthetic beforehand."
Sitting next to her, Matthew Morgan adjusted his position and explained calmly.
With those words, Chloe Grant understood everything.
She raised her hand, looking at her wrist wrapped in gauze.
The gauze was wrapped well, very neatly.
"Uncle Morgan, did you call a doctor?" Chloe Grant couldn't help but ask.
Uncle Morgan's not trained in medicine, so how could he possibly...
"No, I did it," Matthew Morgan answered.
