Constantine Stewart's face was gloomy without a smile, and even Daniel couldn't force a smile at this table.
The man's deep gaze fell on Chloe Winston, then he pulled a cigarette from the pack on the table, lowered his eyes to light it. His slender, fair fingers holding the cigarette looked strikingly elegant.
Daniel wanted to say that it was his cigarette and it wasn't fit for Mr. Stewart, but seeing the man's gloomy face, he couldn't manage to utter a single word.
Wendy Starling felt it a little hard to breathe. She tugged Chloe Winston and switched seats with her, which finally eased Constantine Stewart's expression a bit.
Luckily, the hotel's waiter soon served the dishes, breaking the awkward atmosphere. During the meal, apart from the sullen-faced Constantine Stewart, the carefree Chloe Winston, and the considerate Charles Taylor, everyone else ate with trepidation.
Anyone with eyes could see it was a case of two men vying for one woman.
