Leah directly dismissed Richard Shaw's proposal and then called Serena Winton, asking her to meet up.
Serena waited all night and the next morning, only to find that the Shaw Family was completely inactive, letting her tarnish Leah's name. She was so delighted she nearly jumped up; Richard Shaw didn't care much for that woman after all.
Feeling more confident, Serena planned to test Leah's true capabilities, but first, she wanted to embarrass her.
"We can meet, but I've been really busy lately." Serena coyly played hard to get, "How about this, there's a charity gala tomorrow night. If you can get an invitation, let's meet there."
Tomorrow night's charity gala was the biggest elite charity event of the winter, and the invitations had long been reserved. Leah, coming from a small corner of Southeast Asia, supposedly clinging to Richard Shaw through cosmetic surgery, had no right to participate. Serena merely wanted to unsettle her and then stir up a second wave of gossip.
