The Cloud Family's retreat brought Leah the greatest joy.
"This is what they call karma. I've always found Melody Cloud insufferable, and now she probably doesn't even dare step out of her own house."
Leah ladled the soup into a small bowl, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes blinking playfully as she watched Delphine finish drinking. Feeling a bit proud, she asked, "Pretty good, right? How's my cooking?"
"You made it?" Delphine took another sip. It did taste quite good.
"Me? No way I have that kind of skill. It's from the new chef we've just hired." Leah's eyes sparkled slightly as she said, "I picked him up."
Delphine looked startled, widening her eyes. Fixing her gaze on Leah's unyielding, stunningly cold face, she chuckled knowingly and teased, "Don't tell me he fell for your beauty and stuck to you like glue, volunteering to be your chef?"
