"It's Mr. Shaw, Mr. Shaw is bad. He never takes me to the amusement park," Casimir Shaw said crisply, tilting his little head. His small hand gripped Mommy's hand tightly, fearing that she'd disappear in the blink of an eye, and mercilessly sold out his dad in the process.
Even now, Casimir Shaw was very nervous, afraid that Leah didn't want him. Over the years, Mr. Shaw had always refused to tell him where Mommy was. The little boy had an inkling that Mommy probably didn't want anything to do with Mr. Shaw and him. So the moment he suddenly saw Leah appear in the mausoleum site parking lot, Casimir took such a daring step. Holding his sketchbook, he quietly snuck into Leah's car, sitting silently the entire way, resolute on first figuring out where Mommy lived before clinging to her.
