Delphine left the Leclair Estate and drove straight to Squire Manor.
Leah was practicing shooting at the family training ground. Seeing Delphine arrive wearing slippers, her cheeks slightly reddened from the cold, Leah was immediately stunned. She dropped her firearm, took off her protective ear gear, and asked, "What happened?"
Delphine reached out to grasp her hand, her eyes red. In a hoarse voice, she cried out, "Leah, Leah."
"Don't panic. Let's talk in the warm room." Since their reunion in Southeast Asia, Leah had never seen Delphine show such a vulnerable expression. She led her into the warm room, instructed the servants to fetch a warm towel, and gently wiped her swollen eyes. Only after Delphine's emotions had calmed slightly did Leah ask, "What exactly happened?"
