Brand and Faina arrived in the pitch-black canyon, where the magnificent stone gate spanned the center. On either side stood towering stone sculptures nearly a hundred meters tall, depicting the long-bearded King of Cold Winter, Keldon, and the axe-wielding Kode, both belonging to the war god lineage in Kruz's myth.
Standing at the base of the giant sculptures, they felt incredibly small compared to the size of the statues' toes. Faina looked up at the stone gate and saw a line of wedge-shaped script:
"Delruha built for the Final Battle, oh stars in the sky, may you continue illuminating the Earth millennium after millennium—"
The script was in ancient language, largely lost after the Saint War. Since the Sky Blue Knight broke the Sky Dome with his lance, bringing forth the second epoch on Earth, several millennia had passed since the Final Battle. Yet, seeing this Stele today, they felt a faint sense of historical continuity.
