Jane Quinlan was somewhat worried: "Has something really happened?"
"Evelyn Claire has been caught, but Wendy hasn't been found."
"Ah? How could this be?" Jane Quinlan exclaimed in surprise: "Could it be that Evelyn Claire did something to Wendy..."
"Let's not jump to conclusions before everything is settled.
The police and the people I've found are still searching. Anchester is only so big, we'll find her eventually."
He said this as he rubbed her head: "Alright, weren't you thinking of going to the police station with me to check it out? Go put on a coat."
Jane Quinlan nodded repeatedly, got up to grab her coat, draped it over herself, and went downstairs with Kay Forrest.
Arriving at the police station, the chief brought them to a separate room where Evelyn Claire was being held.
There was a look of dejection in her eyes.
As soon as she saw Kay Forrest and Jane Quinlan, she slightly raised her eyebrows and stood up to bow: "Director Forrest, Miss Quinlan."
