Jane Quinlan stepped aside, "Come in, Dad."
She walked to the bedside and sat down next to Kay Forrest.
After Mr. Quinlan came in, he closed the door, pulled out a chair from beside the desk, and sat down opposite the two.
"Where's Second Aunt? No more chatting?"
Jane pointed outside.
"Your Second Aunt just left."
"Ah? Why didn't you call us? We could have seen her off."
"She can leave on her own. She's not an outsider.
Let me ask you, did you just lend money to your eldest aunt?"
"No, I didn't," Jane shook her head, "I don't have money to lend to my eldest aunt.
Kay has money, but I can't just ask it from Kay, can I?"
"Really didn't?" Mr. Quinlan didn't believe her at all.
"When your eldest aunt was on the phone just now, I clearly heard your voice inside the room."
"How could that be? Didn't my eldest aunt say that it was my cousin who called?"
Mr. Quinlan sighed, "Do you really think I'm that senile?
Can I not even distinguish your voice from your cousin's?
