Miya asked Darnley quietly, "Brother, did mom notice anything?"
"Definitely not. With her intelligence, she won't waste time thinking about this. Don't worry."
"I was scared to death just now."
Darnley raised his flour-covered hand to pat Miya's head, "Don't be afraid. You've got me."
Faye Townsend finished her shower and came out. Just as she was about to head downstairs, her phone rang.
Seeing it was Clara calling, she picked up the phone, "Hello, Clara. Didn't we just talk this afternoon? Missing me already?"
"Hello, are you a friend of the phone owner?"
Faye felt a bit wary, "Uh, yes, I am."
"Hello, this is the Emergency Department of Anchester General Hospital. Your friend has just been in a car accident, and we couldn't reach her family. Could you please come to the hospital?"
"Car accident?" Faye's hand tensed on the door handle, "Is the owner of this phone the one in the accident?"
"This phone was taken from the victim's bag, so it should be hers."
