"But, I've never done a paternity test," Mabel Quinn said.
"When your finger was accidentally cut by a shard, and you bled, I saved the tissue with your blood and personally took it to a testing center in Country Y. There, they took my blood for a DNA test," Edward Quinn said. "If you still have doubts, we can find another testing center and do it again."
Mabel shook her head, "No need, I believe you." She trusted what her uncle said, it was just an intuition.
Edward smiled, but his eyes were filled with tears. He sighed deeply, raised his hand, and gently caressed Mabel's head, "It's me, as a father, who was too dumb and foolish. Clearly, my daughter has been by my side for so many years, and clearly, I've seen you every year, but never did I suspect or doubt."
