"Enough." He interrupted her to prevent Catherine Willis from making his mood worse again, "You came to me on your own today, don't you remember the bet between us?"
"Bet?" Alice Conley looked completely confused, clearly having really forgotten.
Thus, Dorian Howards gritted his teeth and recounted the matter from the previous party about who would find whom first and that the loser would be whoever initiated contact.
"I didn't have time to agree back then, so it doesn't count as a bet with you." She said awkwardly.
He squinted his eyes slightly, "Are you trying to back out?"
"Back out, back out, how unpleasant! How can you back out of something that wasn't even agreed upon!" She quickly said, "Besides, if you hadn't suddenly acquired the Studio I work for, I wouldn't have come looking for you. What exactly are you planning?"
This intangible sense of being controlled made Alice Conley very uncomfortable, as if he was weaving a net to completely trap her.
