Mabel Quinn pursed her lips. It seemed that Francine Howards would attend the Quinn Family matriarch's birthday banquet today, perhaps primarily to chat with her about Kyle Kinston.
"The first time I saw Kyle, I was seven years old. When I looked into his eyes, it was like I was looking at a wounded beast. Obviously fragile, obviously lifeless and hollow, yet when someone approached, he became so fierce. From that moment, I couldn't take my eyes off him," Francine spoke to herself. "Have you seen him covered in scars? Have you seen him as fierce as a demon? Have you seen him cold and ruthless? If you haven't seen all this, what right do you have to love him?"
"You don't need a reason to love someone. Even if I haven't seen him as you described, I'm still certain that I love Kyle," Mabel met Francine's gaze and replied.
Francine chuckled softly, "Do you love Kyle because of his power and status, or because of his looks? How much do you really know about him?"
