Maximilian Lancaster paused as he helped his brother turn around, then turned back again with Callum Lancaster, his eyes filled with repressed emotions, speaking each word deliberately.
"Show mercy where you can; don't go overboard in everything!"
"Overboard?" Violet Zimmerman harshly retorted, "Who just showed disrespect to the Lancaster Family's elder? Who just hurled insults at me?"
"Violet Zimmerman, you vile woman... I will curse you... cough, cough... you seduce your brother-in-law, fearing exposure, so you want to strike first..."
Callum Lancaster coughed up blood while continuing to curse. Violet had long been prepared for everything that happened today.
Rather than letting others speculate behind her back, it was better to "clarify" things face to face. Otherwise, who knows what kind of trouble those with ulterior motives might stir up.
