In the evening, Evander Lancaster accompanied Sophia Hamilton back home. Seeing them enter the door together, Juliana Lancaster unreservedly asked.
"Sophia, what's going on with you two?"
"Mom, Evander and I..."
Sophia stood in front of her mother, twisting the strap of her crossbody bag with her hands, feeling helpless. Evander stood next to her, naturally putting an arm around her shoulder and smiling at Juliana Lancaster as he spoke.
"Auntie, I originally planned to talk to you about this over the weekend,"
"Talk about what?" Juliana Lancaster interrupted Evander coldly, looking at him with a chilly gaze.
Evander knew that this attitude from his potential mother-in-law couldn't be sorted out in just a few minutes. He gently patted Sophia's shoulder, "You go inside and change clothes first, I'll explain to Auntie."
