"What are you doing here? Get out! I don't want to see you!" Gabriel Lancaster shouted unhappily upon seeing Catherine Taylor enter.
Catherine hesitated for a moment before braving her way to the bedside. "Gabriel, how are you feeling? Is the wound very painful? Shall I call the doctor to give you some pain medication?"
Worried that Gabriel would be upset upon seeing her and their daughter, Catherine returned to the ward with her daughter after he was brought out of the operating room.
"Get lost! I don't need your fake concern. Seeing you only worsens my condition!" Gabriel reprimanded unhappily, acting out because he was upset Catherine wasn't staying by his side.
Catherine's hand, which was about to reach out, withdrew. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she forced a smile and said, "Fine, I'll leave so you won't be upset."
