Director Li took the record from Xiao Zhao's hand, spread it out on his desk, and read it line by line. Nicholas Croft kept his eyes downcast, leaning back in the leather chair, one hand curled up against his lips, frowning in thought.
After reading the record, Director Li closed it and set it aside.
"Director Croft, based on the current record, it's hard to see any premeditated motive on the part of the perpetrator," seeing Nicholas Croft look up at him, Director Li thought for a moment and said, "How about this, you go home first, we'll redo the records after he sobers up tomorrow."
Nicholas Croft stood up and nodded slightly at Director Li, "I'll leave it to you then."
After speaking, he walked towards the office door.
In just one afternoon, the once graceful man suddenly became quite limp, his posture no longer as upright, and his steps seemed heavy.
