The Water Clones cold words of finality sent the group of four's minds into instinctive paralysis, their bodies frozen in fear from the now naked, unobstructed Killing Intent that slammed into their minds with the full force of battering rams, leaving them shaken and unable to process what to do.
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Tazuna are all frozen in fear and disbelief at what just happened. Their once calmed minds at the assurance Kakashi had brought when he protected them from the Rogue Swordsman had been completely shattered when they saw Kakashi get smashed through a dozen tree's and get captured by Zabuza.
Naruto was the one shocked the most due to being the cause of his Sensei's circumstances and he started unconsciously shedding small tears seeing how his own overconfidence caused their once secure formation and most reliable shield to be broken and stolen away from them. Naruto started unconsciously mentally panicking:
'Sensei! NO SENSEI!?'
'DAMMIT!! WHAT HAVE I DONE!!'
'NO, NO, NO!! WHAT CAN WE DO NOW WITHOUT SENSEI!?'
Naruto was having a miniature mental crisis about what to do in this situation as his body, along with Sakura's and Sasuke's was trembling nonstop due to having Zabuza's overpowering Killing Intent concentrated fully on them, and even if they were able to fight and the Clone only had 1/10th of the Original's strength, it was still something normal Genin weren't able to handle. Naruto started mentally berating himself for his own foolishness and overconfidence, while Sasuke himself is having his own problems… although he isn't seeing the shadowy figure with Sharingan Eyes anymore due to having somewhat adapted to the Killing Intent of Zabuza, at the same time, his body was not responding to anything his mind was trying to make it do.
Sakura herself is the one having it the worst after Naruto and Sasuke. As someone who has grown up in a sheltered village and hasn't experienced any kind of traumatic incident or been through any major hardships besides killing her first person a few days ago, she has never faced something of such overwhelming might in her entire life, even her own father who she knows was a retired Special Jonin didn't have such a presence when around her, so her shaking like a leaf in a hurricane was somewhat understandable.
Tazuna, the weakest and the main target of this 'Demon' didn't know what to feel or think, the Killing Intent has entrenched itself so deep into his psyche that his senses and brain functions have gone numb and unresponsive under the power of Zabuza's Water Clone… all that he could comprehend in this moment was a deep abyss of darkness and swirling red, he feels as if he can hear the faint voices of his family and the unmistakable menacing whisper of Gato right in his ear, chuckling with unrestrained malice at the situation Tazuna has himself in...
All of these reactions and 'feelings' of the four individuals were moving through them with the force of lightning, immeasurable and erratic, moving so fast their minds could barely process what the feelings were and how they were even suppose to react to the 'feelings'. Zabuza seeing the reactions of the four sneered in disdain and couldn't help but mock:
"Look at you four, pathetic little worms who can't even move under such pressure… daring to call yourselves 'Shinobi', how insulting…" Zabuza's Clone uttered with arms spread out in an indomitable and arrogant gesture of superiority.
The three Genin hearing such words from a Clone of all things grit their teeth in anger and humiliation, but couldn't do anything as their bodies refuse to co-operate with the signals their minds were sending to their limbs… this isn't their fault as it is a natural response of the bodies in-built instinct of self preservation when sensing the might of a superior creature.
Sasuke himself felt the anger and shame the worst, although he has been getting better and his attitude has toned down quite a bit, he still has some pride, after all, this pride has been instilled in him since when he was a young child by his Clan… the Uchiha Clan is Legendary throughout the Elemental Nations not only because of their Kekkei Genkai and Strength, but because of the fierce reputation they have maintained since the Warring States Period and the strength of their previous Clan Head, Madara Uchiha, One of the Two Legendary God's of Shinobi, the only person to be able to rival the Senju's God of Shinobi and the First Hokage of Konoha, Hashirama Senju.
Sasuke grew up hearing the stories of the Warring States Period from the older members of the Clan who were around during the later stages, of course though Sasuke himself realised during the stories that it was filtered and a lot of the battles were toned down so as not to scar the poor boy, but the message and history of such events was still clearly presented. During the stories, he heard a few of them about Madara himself, and if the scale of such battles weren't being exaggerated, then the power that Madara himself possessed was so immense that Sasuke couldn't even fathom the depths of being able to see what it would be like to see it with his own eyes for himself.
Sasuke one day told his parents that he wished to be like Madara, but his parents reactions were surprising and completely unexpected, his father paled like all of the blood in his body was drained in an instant and his mother dropped the plate she was cleaning in her hands and held them to her mouth like she heard something unspeakable. Sasuke wasn't sure what he said that could cause such reactions to his parents so he clarified just in case they may have misunderstood something:
'I wish to be as strong as Madara-Sama! To be so strong that the Uchiha Clan's name would resound across the Ninja World again!'
After realising what their child was meaning, both exhaled in relief at that, after all, it isn't as well known to the younger generation of the Uchiha Clan why Madara Uchiha is a touchy subject that is both revered and resented as his betrayal of the newly formed Konoha at that time was the greatest humiliation they ever suffered in generations and the scrutiny the clan has suffered in recent years because of the attack of the Kyubi and the 'supposed' evidence of multiple witnesses 'seeing' the glow of the Sharingan in the eyes of the Kyubi during the attack only exacerbated their already hated reputation in the view of the Village.
The reason why many might ask of how seeing the Sharingan in the eyes of the Kyubi would be appalling would be because Madara Uchiha himself after many years came back to destroy Konoha Village, the very same village he created along side Hashirama himself when both ended the Warring States Period. Madara while the only one that could fight Hashirama as an 'equal' never was recorded in the Clan Archives to be strong enough to completely defeat him, only fight him to a stand still as the Senju Clan, especially Hashirama himself were known for exaggerated Chakra Levels, and Hashirama had the highest Chakra levels of any known individual in the world, armed with his Legendary Kekkei Genkai, the Wood Release, he was unanimously mantled even by Madara himself as 'The True God of Shinobi'.
Thus, Madara came back with the Nine Tailed Fox under his indomitable control, the Sharingan's Yin Release Genjutsu is not only capable of instilling illusions and the ability to make others see things, but instill mind control in their victims if their Skill and Strength in Genjutsu is strong enough, and Madara's Sharingan was so powerful the Nine Tailed Fox, the Strongest of the Tailed Beasts became nothing more than a pet to go on his orders. However, even with all of this power at Madara's fingers, he was still defeated and eventually killed by the First Hokage.
Sasuke after learning about the 'filtered' history (Many of the events were not told to him like the Nine Tail's Attack's effect on his Clan) of his Clan's and Konoha's legacy was determined to become someone of such strength like Madara and bring back honour to his Clan, however, events happened and that dream turned into a side-dream, eventually, to be forgotten by the young boy in pursue of darker ambitions...
Sasuke, now remembering such memories felt his emotions go out of control, the Killing Intent of Zabuza, the memories of his Clan and Parents, his weakness in his current situation, and the small, but undeniably noticeable anger at having his Sensei and Teammates being threatened by a insignificant threat like Zabuza ultimately culminated into a burning rage and desire for greater power in this very moment, and unknowingly, his Chakra started erratically filtering through the Killing Intent and flowed into his eyes...
Black bled into Red, and in the Red, Black pools formed, danced with a hypnotic rhythm that was beautiful and haunting at the same time. In the Left pool of Red, Two of the Black curved pools manifested in equal opposition to each other, only divided by a single black dot, while in the Right pool of Red, a lonely Single curved pool of Black manifested unlike its counter-part.
Zooming out we see that these Red and Black pools are actually Eyes, and the curved Black pools is spinning around an equally Black pupil. Everyone who is familiar with the Uchiha Clan would instantly recognise what these were, this is the Legendary Kekkei Genkai of said Clan, the only Kekkei Genkai in history to be able to match the strength of the Wood Release wielded by Hashirama Senju, this is the Sharingan, and Sasuke had unknowingly re-awakened it.
Zabuza (And Clone), Naruto, Sakura and the distant Kakashi who is still trying to break out of the Water Prison Jutsu immediately noticed not only the increase in Sasuke's Chakra reserves but also noticed that both of his eyes morphed into the blood red Eyes of his Clan's Dojutsu and everyone had varying levels of surprise.
Naruto and Sakura were shocked by the sudden transformation of Sasuke's eyes, but that quickly turned into excitement as they realised that they now have an opportunity to rescuing Kakashi from the Water Prison, Zabuza and his Clone on the other hand were shocked, not only because of seeing a pair of Sharingan in the eyes of some Genin, but because he thought that the Uchiha Clan had been wiped out by the previous Clan Heir turned Rogue Shinobi Itachi Uchiha. So seeing some kid not only have them but to have them suddenly activate under the pressure of his Killing Intent caused him to be uneasy...
After all, Kakashi was already powerful enough with One 3 Tomoe Sharingan, and he was a Non-Uchiha at that, as it is common knowledge in the Bingo Book but also with common Kekkei Genkei families that someone outside of a Dojutsu Clan possessing one that doesn't belong to them struggle with utilising its true capabilities and suffer heavy Chakra drainage having to forcible maintain the eye, so seeing a living Uchiha outside of the S-Rank Rogue was unexpected and a variable he wasn't expecting, and unconsciously, the Clone lifted the Zanbatō in a defensive measure as if his very Chakra warned it about the danger he was it...
Sasuke however didn't notice their expressions as he was trying to understand why his vision suddenly changed, his vision suddenly became red, not in the sense of him being enraged but that everything became Red and Black, his view of the environment was tinged with the colour of blood and in his perspective, his teammates, Zabuza, and Kakashi all became Black with a subtle blue glow hovering around them like an 'Aura', however when looking at the Clone, it was completely different, the Clone was a 'Translucent-White' and the Blue 'Aura' was 'flowing' around it like it was a liquid compared to what a 'normal' individual was like..
Sasuke was completely dumbfounded and didn't know what was going on, he started thinking:
'Has his Killing Intent caused me too much mental damage and now my vision is impaired!?' wondered Sasuke with worry and dread however Naruto suddenly spoke up and brought him out of his thoughts:
"SASUKE YOUR EYES! THEIR LIKE SENSEI'S!!"
Naruto shouted to the ravenette with joy despite being in a life-and-death scenario, Sasuke jolted at Naruto's words and held up the Kunai he was holding in his hands to look at his reflection and what he saw stopped his heart, he saw the Sharingan shining in his eyes brightly, the Black Pools or Tomoe as they are officially called, spun around his pupil's in a rhythmic dance to his emotions, and Sasuke noticed that his Left Eye had 2 Tomoe instead of 1 like his Right Eye did...
Sasuke lowering the Kunai from his vision, looked down and smirked for the first time since his and his team's lives have been in danger, he then lifted his gaze at the now wary Clone of Zabuza and uttered to his team in a calm but confident voice:
"Don't worry guys, our chance is Now…"
