"Now!"
While Zabuza was still in a daze, Kakashi seized the opportunity, rushed toward Zabuza, and knocked him away.
Zabuza looked at the beheading sword in his hand in astonishment, and a trace of anger flashed across his face.
He actually saw a crack on his beheading sword!
"Unforgivable!"
Although the beheading sword could repair itself by absorbing blood, he couldn't tolerate the fact that a mere Konoha Genin had embarrassed him like this.
"Very good, brat from Konoha—you've succeeded in pissing me off!" Zabuza growled, staring at the golden-glowing Naruto.
"Hahaha, idiot!" Naruto couldn't help feeling a little proud seeing that he was unharmed.
"My Vajra Indestructible Art is invincible in defense! And you want to kill me with that dull sword? That's hilarious!" Naruto continued, standing tall while mocking Zabuza.
"Shut up, idiot!" Sakura yelled, punching Naruto on the head—and another bell-like sound rang out.
She noticed Zabuza's face twitching with rage and couldn't help but feel uneasy.
Although Naruto was indestructible, the rest of them weren't!
Especially their client, who was just an ordinary old man.
If Zabuza really lost his temper, the others would be in real danger.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
Kakashi seized the moment and used Wind Style Ninjutsu to blow away the thick mist that surrounded them.
"Sorry," he said lightly. "It looks like you won't be taking our client after all."
"Hmph!" Zabuza scoffed. "It's too early for you to say that!"
Zabuza's figure flickered and vanished on the spot.
Kakashi's Sharingan twitched—and he disappeared too.
From the clearing, the sound of metal clashing and sparks flying rang out, though the two fighters were nowhere to be seen.
Seeing this, Sakura closed her eyes again and activated Kagura's Heart Eye. Sasuke immediately activated his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, carefully tracking their movements. In his hand, he tightly gripped an energy potion, prepared to replenish his chakra at a moment's notice.
Among the three, only Naruto stood there dumbfounded, unable to follow what was happening.
Suddenly, Zabuza appeared again, this time swinging his sword at Tazuna.
Kakashi appeared a split second later, driving a kunai straight into Zabuza's back.
"Cough!" Zabuza gasped, a mouthful of blood spewing from his mouth.
"Got him!" Naruto cheered excitedly.
"No," Kakashi said calmly. "It's just a water clone."
Naruto blinked and looked again—sure enough, Zabuza coughed up a stream of clear water, and his pierced chest oozed a trail of the same.
"Hmph, I didn't think you'd catch that!" Zabuza's clone chuckled coldly before dispersing into a puddle.
"Behind you, sensei!" Sakura shouted suddenly.
"Too late!" Zabuza roared, appearing behind Kakashi and cutting him in half with his sword.
But Kakashi, too, turned into water and vanished.
"You copied my water clone?" Zabuza sneered. "You did it back then, didn't you? You're worthy of your name—Copy Ninja Kakashi!"
"That's right," Kakashi said coolly, now behind Zabuza with a kunai pressed to his neck. "I didn't expect you to notice it so soon. You really are the Demon of the Hidden Mist."
"It's over," he declared calmly.
Meanwhile, Naruto and the others were stunned by the flurry of clone tactics.
They never imagined ninja battles could be so intense—one mistake and you'd be dead.
If they had rushed forward earlier, they'd probably be lying in pieces by now.
Zabuza was pinned by Kakashi, but he didn't panic. Instead, he laughed.
"Hahaha, you think it's over? You really don't get it!"
"Parlor tricks like that won't defeat me."
"But I'll give you credit where it's due."
"You copied my clone when I went after that golden brat."
"That glowing body of his was weird… but I'm not someone you can deal with so easily!"
As soon as he finished speaking, another Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi.
"That one's fake too?!" Naruto and Sasuke shouted in disbelief.
They couldn't tell which Zabuza was real anymore!
"That's the real one!" Sakura shouted, eyes still closed.
"Tch."
Zabuza clicked his tongue, glared at the pink-haired kunoichi, and muttered, "Annoying. I'll kill you next."
He suddenly moved in a blur and delivered a powerful kick that sent Kakashi flying into the nearby river.
"Sensei!" Naruto yelled.
"Kakashi-sensei got kicked like that?!" Sakura couldn't believe it.
He was so strong, but he got taken down in a single blow?!
"Don't underestimate Taijutsu," Sasuke said darkly.
In the river, as Kakashi emerged, he immediately noticed the water felt unnaturally heavy.
"Sensei, that water is full of chakra!" Sakura warned.
"Heh. Of course it is," Zabuza said, appearing behind Kakashi. "This is the Water Prison Technique—prepared just for you!"
The water swirled and formed a dense orb, trapping Kakashi completely.
To maintain the jutsu, Zabuza had to remain stationary. But with one hand free, he created a water clone and sent it toward the remaining trio.
"If you could still move, Kakashi, this would've been difficult. But now..." Zabuza chuckled.
"I'll deal with you later. First, I'll kill these brats."
The clone leapt forward and delivered a strong kick that sent Naruto flying.
"Ahhh!"
Naruto's forehead protector flew off and landed on the ground.
Zabuza stepped on it and stared coldly at Naruto.
"Wearing a forehead protector doesn't make you a ninja."
"True shinobi are those who walk the line between life and death, whose names earn a place in the bingo book."
"You brats don't even qualify."
He glanced down at the crack on his blade and narrowed his eyes.
"You damn kid…"
"Haha." Kakashi laughed from inside the water prison. "If that were your real body, I might be worried."
"But it's just a clone."
"No way it can take down my students."
