The sky was just beginning to turn a soft shade of orange as evening approached the next day, casting a warm hue over the entire estate. The mansion stood tall and proud, its windows glowing softly as light spilled through the curtains.
Outside, however, the atmosphere was anything but calm. A small fleet of black, high-end vehicles stood lined up in front of the main entrance, their engines quietly humming as drivers waited by the doors. The presence of so many cars seemed excessive for just one trip, and Serena noticed it immediately.
As she stepped out of the front doors with Lucian walking by her side, her eyes narrowed at the sight of the line of vehicles. She looked around, noting not just the number of cars but also the presence of people moving in and out of them. Some were speaking into discreet communication devices, others scanning the area like trained security operatives.
