My body convulsed as violent disturbances erupted throughout my Divine Core, each one corresponding to a different Origin I had comprehended. Space twisted uncontrollably around my right arm, the flow of Time within my body abruptly faltered, and the energies of Fire, Water, Darkness, and several other Origins scattered as though their connections to me had been severed.
I coughed up a mouthful of blood, and for a terrifying moment, I could no longer feel nearly half of the Origins that had once responded to my will.
I immediately tried to reassert control, but the missing connections refused to answer.
Theras examined the crimson threads with an almost appreciative expression.
