Uchiha Izumi watched with a cold, calculating gaze as the Third Hokage severed Orochimaru's arm. She rested her chin lightly on her hand, a faint sigh escaping her lips. "Ah… I deliberately left him just enough breath to decide whether he would tell Orochimaru about my existence or cut off Orochimaru's arm," she mused. "I didn't expect him to choose cutting off Orochimaru's arm. Such a deep obsession…"
Her crimson eyes flickered with dark amusement and a hint of disdain. Then, slowly, she shifted her attention to another part of the battlefield — to Kurama Yakumo.
Inside a dimly lit room, the atmosphere was heavy with tension. Kurama Yakumo lay motionless on the ground, her body weak and trembling. She had just finished casting a complex genjutsu but had been severely drained by the effort. Gathering the last reserves of her strength, she crawled up slowly, wiping the blood trickling down her face. Leaning weakly against the wall, she took a shaky breath.
"Now… I'm free," she whispered, a fragile smile flickering on her lips.
Just as she was about to leave the room, the door creaked open. Guangfeng, her companion, entered hurriedly.
"Ah!" Kurama Yakumo recoiled in fear at his sudden appearance.
But Guangfeng, noticing her frail condition, quickly moved closer and supported her. "Yakumo, it's very dangerous right now. You have to be careful — come with me!"
He steadied her trembling body, preparing to leave the room together. But as his eyes met hers, he noticed an expression of terror frozen on her face, her entire body trembling uncontrollably.
Puzzled, he looked down and followed her gaze.
On the floor, a painting lay sprawled — a detailed drawing depicting the exam venue and various Konoha Ninja figures. The familiar characters on the parchment seemed trapped within her genjutsu.
Guangfeng's brow furrowed as he recognized the significance. As Yakumo's companion, he was well aware of her ability: to control the people within her drawings through her genjutsu, making them see exactly what she wanted.
Gripping her slender wrist tightly, Guangfeng's voice rose in shock. "Yakumo! What are you doing? Why are you drawing Konoha Ninja?"
His eyes searched hers, filled with disbelief and hurt. He never expected her to act this way.
Kurama Yakumo's gaze lingered on his face, watching as his gentle expression twisted into one of terror. Overwhelmed, she suddenly covered her face and began to sob uncontrollably.
"Wuwuwu…"
Guangfeng's concern deepened. "Yakumo, what's wrong? Tell me."
Between sobs and trembling breaths, Kurama Yakumo managed to choke out, "I… I betrayed the Village. I deserve to die! I'm a sinner… wuwuwu…"
Guangfeng's expression softened as he quickly asked, "Yakumo, please don't cry. What happened? Were you coerced by someone?"
Kurama Yakumo collapsed weakly into Guangfeng's arms, voice strained and full of pain. "Yes… I was forced… by someone named Uchiha Izumi."
She went on to briefly explain the dire circumstances that had led her down this dark path.
Upon hearing her confession, Guangfeng's resolve hardened. "Let's go. I'll take you to find the uncle from the Sealing Squad. He's the best at dispelling seals and has always been kind to me. He'll help us!"
Kurama Yakumo's tear-streaked face showed disbelief as she looked up at him. "Guangfeng… you're really letting me go? And you're still going to help me?"
Wiping the tears from her cheeks gently, Guangfeng smiled softly. "If I don't help you, who else will?"
Moved by his kindness, Kurama Yakumo threw herself into his arms, her sobs growing louder. "Ah, ah, ah! I really deserve to die… ah, ah, ah…"
Guangfeng stroked her hair tenderly and whispered, "Don't cry anymore. I'm here now. Let's go."
She nodded immediately, a fragile spark of hope returning to her eyes.
Taking her hand, Guangfeng began to leave.
Kurama Yakumo glanced back at his retreating figure. His broad back seemed especially tall and reassuring. Clutching her rapidly beating heart, she gritted her teeth and summoned her courage.
Suddenly, Guangfeng called out, "Yakumo! Be careful! There are many enemy ninja outside, but I will protect you…"
Before he could finish, a sudden chill ran down his spine — a sharp, piercing pain in his chest.
He spun around in disbelief.
Kurama Yakumo stood before him, trembling, a wicked gleam in her eyes.
"Huff, huff, huff…"
Her breaths came ragged and uneven.
In her hand gleamed a sharp kunai — now plunged deeply into Guangfeng's body.
"You… what are you doing?" Guangfeng gasped, releasing her wrist as he grasped his wound.
"Huff, huff, huff…" Kurama Yakumo gathered her composure, voice now cold and sharp. "You want to take me to claim credit, don't you?"
"No, I…" Guangfeng's eyes filled with pain and confusion.
Kurama Yakumo snarled, "To keep a secret, only the dead can keep a secret!"
She took a step closer, her voice rising.
"Even if you mean well and won't hold me accountable, your uncle is from the Sealing Squad. He's fiercely loyal to the Hokage."
"If I go with you, I'm finished! Do you understand?"
"I don't want to be cured. What if I'm cured but still can't become a ninja? I won't stake my entire life on a few empty promises from you!"
Her bitter words tumbled out in a torrent, years of repressed secrets and despair pouring out.
Then suddenly, she burst into wild laughter.
"Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Once I do this, I'll be free! Hahahahaha!"
She looked up at the sky, the madness and desperation shining brightly in her eyes.
"Everyone who stands in my way must die!"
Guangfeng lay on the ground, blood pooling beneath him, his eyes locked on the deranged Kurama Yakumo with a mixture of shock and despair.
Summoning his last strength, he struggled to crawl toward the door, hoping to warn others of what had happened.
But Kurama Yakumo watched him carefully.
With cold precision, she picked up the kunai again, sat atop him, raised the blade high, and plunged it down repeatedly.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! Die! Die! Just die for me!"
"Everyone who stops me must die! Must die!"
Her cries grew louder and more hysterical as she lost herself completely to madness.
Only when blood splattered across her face did she snap back to reality.
"Ah!" Horror struck her as she saw Guangfeng's gruesome state.
The kunai slipped from her hands.
Her own clothes and hands were drenched in blood.
Trembling, she touched his lifeless body, then covered her face with her hands and broke down again.
"Wuwuwu… Ah, ah, ah…"
"Why? Why must I suffer like this? Why can't I just be a normal person? Ah, ah, ah!"
Meanwhile, watching this spectacle with a twisted sense of amusement, Uchiha Izumi stuck out her tongue, her eyes glittering with excitement.
"Oh, little Yakumo is having so much fun," Izumi mused with a cold smile. "Perhaps I should also have a good time and enjoy myself."
Her gaze shifted to a distant clone, already gathering materials nearby.
Nearby, Jiraiya fought fiercely alongside Konoha ninja against the enemy forces.
The battlefield roared with the clash of titanic summoned beasts — the giant toad and the three-headed serpent locked in fierce combat.
Despite the intensity, the tide was turning.
The Konoha forces began a confident counterattack.
Hyuga Hiashi, leader of the Hyuga Clan, unleashed a massive Rotation technique, wiping out a large group of Sunagakure ninjas.
Breathing heavily, he declared with pride, "The Hyuga are the strongest clan in Konoha!"
The Ino–Shika–Chō trio pushed forward relentlessly, defeating enemies in quick succession.
The Inuzuka clan, Aburame clan, and other major families, supported by the elite Anbu forces, joined the counterattack.
Uchiha Izumi observed their unity from afar.
A sigh escaped her lips. "It's only at times like this that you see the people of Konoha cast aside their prejudices and come together."
Her voice grew cold and distant. "But this has nothing to do with me anymore."
The world was vast, and she pondered silently, where exactly was her home?
Unfortunately, the answer was clear — this was no longer her home.
Her lips curled into a cold, bitter laugh
Izumi's Shadow Clone observed the battlefield with a wicked grin, her eyes gleaming with cold amusement. "Here's a grand gift for all of you!" she declared with contempt.
Without forming a single hand seal, the clone abruptly stomped her foot onto the ground. The earth trembled beneath her, sending a shockwave through the area. "Edo Tensei!" she shouted.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Suddenly, several coffins burst from the ground, rising ominously amidst the chaos of the battle. The Konoha shinobi who witnessed this were initially confused, unsure of the significance of these eerie tombs.
"What… is this?" one of the younger ninja whispered, looking at the coffins with bewilderment.
However, the more experienced ninja immediately recognized the terrifying jutsu that had been unleashed.
"Edo Tensei?" Nara Shikaku's eyes narrowed sharply as he watched two coffins rise solemnly from the earth. His mind raced, trying to deduce the caster of such a forbidden technique. "Could it be Orochimaru? That damn snake…!"
Hyuga Hiashi's Byakugan activated instinctively, scanning the contents of the coffins. The sight before him was so shocking that it stole the words from his mouth.
Kakashi Hatake and the others also stared in stunned disbelief at the coffins materializing from the earth through Edo Tensei.
"Didn't Orochimaru flee? Why would he cast Edo Tensei here? Is this to prevent anyone from chasing after him?" Kakashi muttered grimly.
A large group of Konoha ninja gathered, eyes wide with alarm as they stared at the ominous coffins, unsure what to expect.
Meanwhile, Izumi's Shadow Clone chuckled darkly. "I'll entertain you all by bringing out my past strength," she said, her voice dripping with malice.
Without hesitation, her form dissolved into black ink, seeping fluidly into one of the coffins. The lid slammed shut with a loud screech.
Bang!
As the coffin lid fell, the figure inside was revealed to everyone — a man who had long been presumed dead.
"Ah!" Nara Shikaku and several others gasped, recognition flooding their faces. "Ka… Kato Dan? Uchiha Fugaku?"
Kato Dan blinked in surprise. "Ah? You… it's you all? It's been so long. You've all changed."
Uchiha Fugaku's stern face softened into a sigh. "I never thought I'd return to Konoha one day. This is truly remarkable. Is this Edo Tensei?"
Hyuga Hiashi's voice trembled as he identified more figures inside other coffins. "Hizashi? Uzumaki Kushina?"
"H-Hey brother… I never imagined we'd meet again under such circumstances," Hizashi said quietly.
Uzumaki Kushina's eyes shone with tears as she asked softly, "Hiashi? Is my son doing well?"
Elsewhere, Kakashi's voice cracked in disbelief. "Father… This is… Uchiha Shisui?"
Hatake Sakumo looked around, then sighed with a bittersweet smile. "It's been a long time, Kakashi. I never thought we'd meet again. You've truly grown."
"Father…" Kakashi couldn't help but sigh, overwhelmed. "Yes, Father. I never thought this day would come. But it seems a battle is unavoidable."
His eyes then landed on a young woman beside them.
"Y-You… you're Rin?" Kakashi's voice trembled, a mixture of hope and horror filling him.
Rin's face lit up in a warm smile. "Huh? Kakashi? You've grown so tall! It's really good that you're alive!"
Kakashi took a step back, eyes wide in shock and fear. "Ah… no…"
He barely had time to react before Rin picked up a kunai, her expression unreadable.
"Damn it!" Kakashi roared, panic rising in his voice.
Nearby, Yuhi looked at Uchiha Shisui — her first love — her hand trembling slightly as she held a kunai. She had never expected to meet him under these horrific circumstances.
Uchiha Shisui's gaze swept across the battlefield before resting on Yuhi. He sighed deeply.
"So it's come to this," he said quietly. "In such a vast place, there isn't a single living Uchiha ninja left. It seems the Uchiha clan is truly gone."
"Shisui…" Yuhi clenched her teeth, fury burning in her eyes. "Damn that cursed Orochimaru! Playing with the dead like this!"
Across the village, more coffins split open, and the previously deceased shinobi began to rise, their hollow eyes fixed with unnatural life.
The Konoha ninja watching were filled with equal parts shock and rage. Many of these were comrades, now forced to fight again through Orochimaru's twisted jutsu.
"Orochimaru… how dare you defile the dead like this!" one ninja spat.
In the distance, a solitary coffin drew the attention of a large group of Konoha ninja, their senses alert and wary.
Boom!
The coffin lid was kicked open with force.
Izumi stepped out, her expression cool and composed as she surveyed the gathering ninjas, eager for the coming battle.
She lifted her hand, inspecting it thoughtfully. "So this is what Edo Tensei feels like," she murmured. "Strange… yet fascinating. My body feels smaller… but it's nostalgic."
A shocked voice rang out from the crowd. "That's… Uchiha Izumi!"
Several ninjas recognized the young woman before them, her appearance just as it had been years ago.
Izumi smiled slyly. "You finally recognized me! I thought no one would remember. That would have been sad."
Her gaze sharpened as she addressed the assembled shinobi. "So, seniors and juniors, are you ready?"
Her Sharingan flared to life, revealing the familiar Three Tomoe pattern.
A warning shout cut through the air. "Don't look into her eyes! Her genjutsu is powerful! And be careful—her speed is incredible!"
The ninja who shouted immediately realized the truth as everyone around him stared in horror.
In the blink of an eye, Izumi vanished from her original position.
Looking down, the ninja discovered a large, bleeding hole in his body. "F-Fast!" he gasped before collapsing heavily.
Izumi materialized in the center of the crowd, her entire body glowing with an eerie bluish-white light.
With a playful grin, she stuck out her tongue and licked the blood from her arm. "Hahaha! This time, I can kill to my heart's content!"
Alarmed by her terrifying speed and power, the Konoha ninjas sprang into action, rushing to confront her.
"Kill her! No, stop! Ahhh!" the battle cries rang out as chaos erupted once more.
Facing her former comrades — now twisted by Edo Tensei — Izumi wielded her kunai and sword with deadly precision.
"Perfect! Time to show off some Taijutsu too!" she taunted as she dodged incoming attacks and countered with brutal strikes.
A sword swung towards her, but Izumi sidestepped gracefully. She then delivered a swift kick to the attacker's elbow.
"Ah!" The man's elbow bent unnaturally, dropping his sword.
Before he could react, Izumi struck his ribs with the palm of her hand, cracking them with a sickening crunch.
The broken ribs pierced his organs, and he collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.
Izumi noticed another ninja rushing toward her — his skin strangely hardened and darkened.
"Earth Release: Body Reinforcement?" she guessed, kicking the fallen sword away.
Instantly, she infused the blade with powerful Lightning Release.
The electrified sword sliced cleanly through the man's chest.
"Ah! How is this possible? She added Lightning Release to the sword the instant she kicked it!" he gasped in disbelief before collapsing.
Izumi snatched a long sword from a nearby fallen ninja and began cutting down enemies recklessly.
Several shinobi fell before her lightning-imbued blade.
One enemy raised a spiked club to block an incoming strike, but Izumi's electrified sword effortlessly split the weapon in half, slicing the man cleanly as well.
Suddenly, a dense swarm of black insects surged toward Izumi, momentarily blocking her sight.
Seeing this, she dodged backward swiftly.
Before she could react, a shuriken flew toward her from behind.
Izumi prepared to throw her sword to stab the attacker but froze mid-motion.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!" came the shout.
At the familiar voice, Izumi hesitated just long enough to jump aside, narrowly avoiding the flying shuriken.
The weapons embedded themselves where she had stood mere moments before.
But in that brief pause, the swarm of insects and an onslaught of weapons closed in around her.
"No way out," Izumi muttered coldly, narrowing her eyes.
Curling her body tightly, she let out a sharp shout and expanded her chakra instantly.
"Hah!"
Lightning crackled violently across her entire form, coalescing into a giant sphere that radiated electric energy.
Countless arrow-shaped bolts of lightning shot outwards in all directions, creating a protective barrier.
The lightning bolts tore through the oncoming swarm, shredding the insects and piercing several ninja nearby with lethal precision.
All eyes fixated on Izumi in the center, her body shimmering with sharp, glowing lightning like the spikes of a sea urchin.
No one dared approach.
---
The battlefield had shifted dramatically in an instant.
The revival of fallen ninja through Edo Tensei had plunged Konoha into chaos, forcing old comrades to confront each other once again — but now on opposite sides.
And amidst the carnage, Uchiha Izumi thrived, her power and speed unmatched, her ruthless hunger for destruction more dangerous than ever.
The shinobi of Konoha realized that this battle would be unlike any they had faced before — fighting not just against enemies, but against the ghosts of their past
The battlefield crackled with tension as Uchiha Izumi's sharp gaze fixed on the owner of the voice that had just pierced through the chaos—a young ninja standing bravely amidst the carnage.
Izumi licked her lips slowly, a wicked smile curling at the corner of her mouth. "Oh? Isn't that Yamamoto Kawa?" she said with mock surprise. "I never thought I'd see you here. It's been a while... and you've really grown. Tall, handsome, and confident now. Not bad at all."
Yamamoto Kawa met her cold stare with a heavy sigh. His voice trembled slightly with a mixture of sadness and resolve. "Izumi... I didn't expect to face you under these circumstances. It's hard to accept... that you're slaughtering your own people. But don't think for a second that I'll hold back."
Izumi's lips curved into a smirk as she studied his determined expression. Suddenly, her smile broadened, eyes glittering with excitement. "You don't understand, do you?"
"What?" Yamamoto Kawa asked, confusion flickering across his face.
Izumi stuck out her tongue playfully, her voice bubbling with cruel delight. "I'm incredibly happy right now—being able to kill you, the trash of Konoha! Hahahahaha! All you Konoha ninja... just die!"
Yamamoto Kawa's face twisted in shock. "You actually enjoy this?"
"Absolutely," Izumi declared with gleeful intensity. "I'm having the time of my life!"
Anger flashed in Yamamoto Kawa's eyes. "You're..." he began, but Izumi interrupted him.
"I've always loved one thing about you," Izumi said, narrowing her eyes with nostalgic amusement. "That jealous look you get whenever I use ninjutsu. Your eyes almost pop out! That was my favorite expression on your face! Hahahahaha!"
Yamamoto Kawa's face darkened. "It's the same for me," he retorted grimly. "Every time I saw you, I envied you. But now? I'm still alive—and you're dead."
Izumi's teasing tone softened for a moment. "You've grown," she admitted. "The old you would have charged in headfirst long ago."
He stared at her, voice steady and sure. "Not anymore. The me now is not who I was before."
Izumi's smile grew wider. "Not only have you grown, but you've become more confident. Good. Now be careful—I'm going to attack!"
Instantly, the tension in the air thickened. Every ninja nearby stiffened, bracing themselves for the assault.
Izumi's eyes shimmered as she deactivated her Lightning Release, preparing to unleash a technique she had painstakingly perfected.
"Fire Release: Mad Bird Flame Dance!" she announced with a deep breath.
From her lips, eight streams of pure white flame shot forth like arrows. The fiery trails swirled and twisted, gathering immense power as they streaked toward the enemies.
The flames grew larger, transforming into eight gigantic birds made of golden fire, each trailing blazing tails that scorched the air itself. They screeched as they soared forward, wings spread wide, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
Alarmed shouts erupted. "High-level Fire Release ninjutsu! Everyone, be careful! Water Release users, get ready!"
A group of Water Release shinobi quickly responded, their hands weaving complex signs.
"Water Release: Wild Water Wave!"
Torrents of water erupted from the ground, forming dozens of towering pillars that surged to collide with the fiery birds.
Boom!
The clash of water and flame sent an enormous explosion into the sky, a violent burst of steam filling the battlefield.
Ninja shielded their eyes, using their hands to block the scorching mist.
Despite the wave's power, only two of the fiery birds were extinguished. The remaining six surged forward unyielding.
"Ahhh!" screams filled the air as several ninjas were pierced by the fiery birds, their bodies instantly engulfed in flames.
Their cries turned to silence as they burned into charred corpses, collapsing lifelessly onto the scorched ground.
The remaining firebirds swept over the rooftops of the village, setting houses ablaze with terrifying speed.
"Firebirds are burning Konoha!" came the urgent cry. "Everyone, block them!"
Some ninja rushed to confront the fiery creatures, while others turned their focus back to Izumi herself.
Izumi watched with satisfaction as a group prepared to extinguish one of the birds.
With a sharp snap of her fingers, the firebird suddenly exploded into a massive ball of flame, blowing nearby ninja off their feet.
A sweeping wave of fire surged outward, causing devastating casualties among the scattered enemies.
Only one small, sparrow-sized firebird remained in the air.
But it dove into the surrounding flames, absorbing them greedily to regrow larger and more menacing.
"Those firebirds will recover and grow! Stop them before they burn Konoha to ashes!" a desperate shout rang out.
"It's too late!" Izumi sneered, snapping her fingers again.
Four of the six firebirds veered off in different directions, spreading destruction wherever they flew.
Homes and trees were swallowed in roaring infernos as the firebirds passed.
"Stop her! Don't let her burn the village!" some ninjas shouted as they chased after the firebirds, desperate to contain the damage.
Others surged forward, aiming to close the distance and confront Izumi directly.
In the center of the chaos, Izumi sent two firebirds crashing into the crowd.
Water Release users sprang into action once more, quickly dousing the flames and snuffing out the birds.
Yet, a thick mist remained after the fire was extinguished.
With a sinister smile, Izumi infused black ink into the mist.
Her presence seemed to merge with the haze.
"Ink Light Concealment Jutsu!" she whispered.
Her form blended with the mist, making her invisible to the frantic shinobi.
Suddenly, screams pierced the haze as comrades were slaughtered in the darkness.
Panic spread like wildfire.
At the same time, Nara Shikaku, Ino, and Choji—along with several others—struggled to contain Uchiha Fugaku.
They hadn't anticipated the incredible strength and tactical genius he now wielded.
His Mangekyo Sharingan allowed him to predict their movements, forcing them into a grueling defensive battle.
Nearby, Hyuga Hiashi had just managed to seal his brother Hizashi, but Uzumaki Kushina was undoing the sealing with her own complex, chain-like jutsu.
Kushina's mastery of sealing techniques posed a formidable challenge, and she fought with grim determination.
Despite her sorrow at harming her own village's ninjas, her body moved with deadly resolve.
At the exam grounds, Uchiha Shisui and Hatake Sakumo were overwhelming the Konoha ninjas.
Nohara Rin, while joyful to see Kakashi, was swiftly sealed and incapacitated.
Kakashi shook his head with regret, whispering, "I'm sorry, Rin."
Rin smiled weakly. "It's alright, Kakashi... I wanted you to survive."
With Rin sealed, Kakashi felt a heavy burden lift from his chest.
He turned to face his father, who regarded Uchiha Shisui with awe.
"You are truly remarkable," Sakumo said quietly. "Such power, cut short so early."
Shisui bowed humbly. "I still have much to learn, especially compared to seniors like you."
His eyes flicked to the fallen ninja around him, pain evident in his gaze.
Meanwhile, Izumi moved like a whirlwind through the mist, slaughtering those who ran terrified toward the edges.
Yamamoto Kawa's voice broke through the chaos.
"You're so happy? Don't you feel any guilt for killing your own village comrades?"
Izumi stopped, turning to face him.
"Guilt?" she scoffed, coldly. "You speak of guilt to me?"
Her eyes darkened with bitter resentment.
"Konoha killed my mother and destroyed my clan," she spat. "And you ask if I feel guilty?"
Yamamoto Kawa bristled. "That's nonsense! It was Uchiha Itachi who killed you!"
Izumi sneered. "Your rank is too low to understand. It was Konoha's leadership who ordered Itachi to destroy the Uchiha. Why waste my breath explaining to a civilian like you?"
Raising her long blade, Izumi prepared to end him.
But Yamamoto Kawa was ready. "Earth Release: Earth Core!"
The ground beneath Izumi surged upward suddenly, forcing her out of the mist.
Outside, numerous ninja launched attacks from all directions — ninjutsu, kunai, shuriken — everything aimed at the now-exposed Izumi.
Looking up from below, Izumi's eyes sparkled with grudging admiration.
"Oh, you actually know how to lure me out. You've grown a brain," she said, a hint of approval in her voice.
The barrage exploded around her, sending waves of force outward.
"Good! Is it over?" the ninja watching prepared to move in, expecting to finally seal Uchiha Izumi.
But they saw her land gracefully, protected by a swirling layer of black Mukuro.
"Huh? What was that?" confusion rippled through the crowd.
Izumi's voice rang out, full of chilling amusement. "Alright, I'm done playing. The warm-up's over. Now, I get serious."
Her form flickered again, glowing with brilliant blue and white chakra. Her long hair shifted to a silver hue as electricity crackled across her body.
"Lightning Chakra Mode: Godspeed!"
Before anyone could react, Izumi vanished from sight.
In the blink of an eye, Yamamoto Kawa's head slammed violently into the ground nearby. He lay motionless, his fate unknown.
"So fast!" someone gasped.
Izumi's cold eyes swept the battlefield once more.
Then, like a phantom, she disappeared again, ready to continue her merciless slaughter.
---
The once vibrant Konoha now trembled under the storm of destruction unleashed by Uchiha Izumi.
The clash between past and present, life and death, loyalty and betrayal intensified, with Izumi standing at the center as an unstoppable force.
Her merciless rampage left no room for mercy.
As the battle raged on, the fate of Konoha's shinobi—and perhaps the entire village—hung precariously in the balance
The battlefield still echoed with the chaos of battle as Jiraiya stood victorious over two of the three heads of the monstrous giant snake. His breaths were steady but tense — he planned to finish off the creature completely before rushing to aid the Third Hokage, who was surely overwhelmed elsewhere.
Suddenly, a sharp warning voice cut through the noise: "Gamahiro, watch out!"
Gamahiro's reflexes were swift. He immediately raised his long sword horizontally, shielding his chest.
Boom!
A conical gust of Wind Release slammed against the blade with fierce force. The gust rapidly expanded into a massive tornado, the swirling vortex battering Gamahiro's sword. Straining under the power, he fought to maintain his grip and control the blade's direction.
With all his strength, Gamahiro angled the sword, redirecting the tornado upward into the sky where it dissipated.
Panting, Gamahiro stared at his sword, now chipped and nearly broken. A chill of unease crept through him.
"What kind of Ninjutsu is that?" he muttered under his breath, eyes darting warily toward the source.
Jiraiya, alert, turned his gaze to the distant horizon where the attack had come from. There, a group of ninja scrambled frantically to retreat, but one by one, explosions rocked their ranks, tossing them violently to the ground. Their fate was unknown.
From the smoke and dust, a figure emerged—a young girl whose eyes caught Jiraiya's attention immediately. The sclera of her eyes were jet black, a sinister and unnatural sight.
Could it be...?
"Is that Uchiha Izumi?" Jiraiya's voice faltered as realization dawned. "Wasn't the Uchiha Clan annihilated?"
His mind raced as he processed what he was seeing. Could this be an Edo Tensei reanimation?
"Orochimaru," Jiraiya growled, eyes narrowing. "How dare you toy with the dead!"
Turning back to Gamahiro, he commanded, "I'm leaving the giant snake to you!"
"Understood, no problem!" Gamahiro nodded and focused intently on the serpent.
Using the Body Flicker Technique, Jiraiya vanished in a blur, suddenly appearing directly in front of the girl.
He took a deep breath and said with heavy sorrow, "Uchiha Izumi? You've grown so much... but it's a pity—you're already dead. And now, you're being controlled by Edo Tensei, forced to slaughter your own comrades. Let me release you from this curse."
Izumi tilted her head back, clutching it as laughter erupted from her lips—low at first, then uncontrollable.
"Heh heh... hahahaha..." Her mirth was chilling.
Jiraiya frowned. "Hmm? You're conscious? Why are you laughing?"
Between bouts of laughter, Izumi gasped, clutching her stomach. "I... can't... stop... laughing. Comrades?" She looked at Jiraiya with a twisted smile. "Lord Jiraiya, are you truly unaware... or just pretending? You call them comrades, but Konoha killed my mother and wiped out our clan. And you want to 'release' me?"
She stuck out her tongue and licked her lips, eyes burning with venom. "I'm itching to kill every last Konoha ninja right now!"
"What?!" Jiraiya's brow furrowed in surprise. "Wasn't it Uchiha Itachi who destroyed the clan?"
Izumi sneered bitterly. "Do you really believe Itachi did it alone? Without the higher-ups of Konoha pulling the strings?"
Jiraiya sighed heavily, a pang of regret in his chest. "So that's how it was..." He clenched his fists. "Even so, I cannot allow you to slaughter your comrades like this. Return to where you belong."
Izumi's dark eyes glinted with malicious amusement. "I've heard you're quite strong, little girl. Let's test that theory. I want to capture and seal you first."
Without warning, Jiraiya's hair suddenly lengthened and divided into four thick, sinuous strands, writhing like snakes.
"Wild Lion's Mane Technique!" he announced, the hair surging forward, coiling towards Izumi like living whips.
Izumi's lips parted as she exhaled a fierce blast of wind.
"Wind Release: Pressure Damage!"
The powerful gale crashed into Jiraiya's extended hair, blowing it aside in a violent gust that surged towards him.
"Hmm! A wide-range Ninjutsu!" Jiraiya recognized the danger immediately and leapt backward to evade the deadly wind.
The force of the gale was enough to demolish all the buildings in the immediate area.
Jiraiya was caught in the aftermath, flying backward and tumbling across the scorched ground.
Struggling to regain his footing, he glared at Izumi standing boldly in the center of the open field.
"I remember this move... but it didn't have such power before," he muttered in disbelief.
Izumi's hands flew into intricate seals.
"Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique!"
Four massive dragon-headed flames surged forward with terrifying speed, their roaring forms burning with intense heat.
Jiraiya's eyes widened. "Such speed!"
Realizing he couldn't form his own ninjutsu fast enough, he used Wild Lion's Mane Technique again, throwing his hair up as a shield.
The fiery dragons slammed into the burning hair, igniting it instantly.
Without hesitation, Jiraiya discarded the scorched strands, protecting his body from harm.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!" Izumi followed swiftly with another devastating barrage.
Jiraiya could only dodge continuously, trying to find an opening.
"Damn it," he muttered. "She's a master of elemental ninjutsu. I have to get close."
Seizing an opportunity, Jiraiya formed hand signs rapidly and vanished with Body Flicker Technique, dashing straight toward Izumi.
Izumi's lips curled into a confident smirk as she tilted her head to the side, narrowly dodging the incoming fist.
Without pause, she countered with a swift punch aimed at Jiraiya's face.
Jiraiya raised his arm to block, but the sharp whistle of the punch told him something was wrong.
He yanked his arm back just in time and dodged sideways.
Boom!
The punch missed, but the gust it created was powerful enough to ruffle the grass nearby.
Before Jiraiya could recover, another punch came at his abdomen.
He rolled away swiftly as the blow missed, whipping up a terrifying gust of wind.
Seeing Jiraiya retreat, Izumi sprang forward, lifting her right leg high and delivering a brutal downward kick toward his head.
Jiraiya barely managed to dodge in time.
"Why does that move look like Tsunade's?" he muttered in shock.
Boom!
The kick slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater. Jagged rocks erupted, flying in all directions.
Jiraiya's throat bobbed nervously as he whispered, "Is that really Tsunade's Heavenly Foot of Pain?"
He shook his head, thankful he hadn't been caught by those earlier blows.
Izumi charged again, eyes blazing.
"You're not the only one who can use ninjutsu!" Jiraiya shouted, his hands weaving new signs.
"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"
The earth beneath Izumi transformed into a sucking swamp, trying to drag her down into its depths.
Jiraiya kept his focus on maintaining the swamp, but reinforcements were arriving fast.
Suddenly, more ninjas joined the fight.
"Earth Release: Revolving Sky Lid!"
A colossal stone slab fell from the sky, landing heavily atop Izumi, trapping her underneath.
Jiraiya approached cautiously, eyeing her carefully.
"Is she done?" he asked, watching her still form beneath the rock.
Suddenly, a surge of lightning pierced the stone lid, and Izumi leaped out unscathed, landing atop the rock with ease.
Jiraiya's eyes narrowed. "Her wounds are healing fast... Edo Tensei?"
More ninja were gathering, surrounding the battlefield.
Izumi closed her eyes, drawing in a deep breath.
Suddenly, her crimson eyes snapped open, blazing with renewed intensity.
A faint blue-white aura radiated from her entire body.
"Everyone, be careful! She's incredibly fast in this state!" someone warned.
The group stared warily at Uchiha Izumi.
In the blink of an eye, she vanished.
Only a faint afterimage remained, confusing the watchers.
"Where did she go?!" they gasped.
Jiraiya's eyes widened in alarm. "Get out of the way! Now!"
But it was too late.
Screams erupted as ninjas were struck down.
One tried to raise his sword, but Izumi's arm smashed through it effortlessly and pierced his chest.
"Ah!" the ninja cried out, collapsing instantly.
Jiraiya's mind raced as he began forming hand signs frantically.
"Toad Mouth Bind!"
---
The battle between Jiraiya and Uchiha Izumi was only beginning. The air thickened with danger as each prepared for the next deadly exchange
Jiraiya's voice rang out sharply: "Toad Mouth Binding Technique!"
In an instant, Izumi vanished from her original position, slipping through the air with such blinding speed that Jiraiya could only watch helplessly. Too fast... I can't catch her!
Izumi's form flickered like a shadow as she weaved skillfully through the crowd of Konoha ninja, moving with deadly grace. Every now and then, she would strike swiftly, eliminating a ninja before melting away into the chaos. The remaining shinobi searched frantically for any sign of her, their eyes scanning wildly but to no avail.
Suddenly, Izumi's movements froze.
She glanced downward and realized she was trapped within a shadow, tendrils of darkness extending and coiling tightly around her body.
"A Nara Clan ninja." Izumi thought sharply.
Without hesitation, she released a powerful surge of lightning chakra coursing across her body. The brilliant electric light flared outward, instantly pushing back the shadows that held her captive.
But before she could fully escape, Jiraiya's toad intestines closed around her like an unyielding vice.
"Hmm!" Izumi's eyes narrowed in disgust as she found herself ensnared in the squirming, fleshy prison. She immediately recognized the technique — the infamous Toad Intestines Binding Jutsu, just as she had seen in the stories and anime.
The intestines writhed continuously, contracting and squeezing, rendering her immobile.
From the other side of the living trap, Jiraiya's voice came with confidence.
"Using a clone?" Izumi teased, smirking beneath the fleshy walls. "Lord Jiraiya, don't you know the Sharingan sees through clones?"
Jiraiya chuckled darkly. "Even if your speed is incredible, this time you won't get away!"
With a cry, he launched forward.
"Rasengan!"
The swirling blue sphere of chakra slammed into Izumi's chest with tremendous force.
In response, Izumi's body suddenly ignited with a brilliant surge of lightning chakra. The electric energy crackled violently, enveloping her from head to toe in a dazzling aura.
Jiraiya's Rasengan collided against her chest — but instead of causing damage, it struck as if hitting a solid rock.
"Huh?" Jiraiya blinked in surprise, staring at his Rasengan with a frown. "Can she manipulate her defense in this form?"
"Rasengan, huh?" Izumi sneered under her breath.
Suddenly, her arm crackled with sharp bolts of concentrated lightning, coalescing into a fierce blade of pure electricity.
With a mighty slash, she sliced through the living intestines binding her, shredding them apart.
Before they could regenerate, Izumi leapt out of the fleshy trap and landed gracefully.
Jiraiya's eyes widened in shock. "This girl is amazing! Her ninjutsu and taijutsu both powerful... How did they kill her before?"
Izumi dashed forward, and Jiraiya immediately followed, intent on locking her down.
But Izumi's speed was overwhelming — the clone Jiraiya had left behind was swiftly obliterated by her lightning strikes.
Looking at the writhing intestines now, Izumi sneered and unleashed a devastating Lightning Release jutsu that cleaved through them again and again. The intestines writhed in vain, unable to heal before she slipped free.
However, no sooner had she escaped than countless ninja, lying in wait, surrounded her and unleashed a barrage of ninjutsu and weapons from all directions.
Her Three Tomoe Sharingan flashed rapidly, then twisted and morphed into a complex octagonal sun-shaped Mangekyo Sharingan.
Boom!
From the shadows, a colossal black Susanoo manifested — its towering form shielded Izumi from the onslaught. The armored giant swung its immense arms, sweeping aside incoming attacks with ease.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, two other massive Susanoo appeared — one vibrant green and the other a fierce reddish-brown — each rampaging mercilessly, taking the lives of ninja who stood in their path.
Among the stunned onlookers were Nara Shikaku and his comrades, along with Kakashi and others stationed at the examination hall.
"What... what is this?" someone breathed, eyes wide with disbelief.
Izumi's Susanoo bore countless long, flowing cloth ribbons inscribed with glowing talismans. These talismans flickered and shimmered as the cloth fluttered relentlessly, cutting down ninja with terrifying ease.
Attack after attack from enemy ninjas crashed against the Susanoo's armored shell — but none made the slightest impression.
With a laugh that echoed across the battlefield, Izumi mocked her enemies.
"Hahaha! Isn't it a little advanced for Susanoo to appear here? How about that for style!"
Just then, Gamahiro leaped forward, swinging his long sword in a powerful slash aimed at Izumi's Susanoo.
The cloth ribbons on the giant warrior snapped into motion, wrapping tightly to form a long spear that intercepted Gamahiro's blade effortlessly.
As Izumi prepared to counterattack, a sudden tremor seized her foot.
An Earth Release jutsu had latched onto her leg, yanking her violently into the ground.
"Hmm?"
Instead of the suffocating pressure she expected, Izumi found herself transported into a strange chamber — a dark, viscous space filled with acidic fluid.
Jiraiya watched her disappear and muttered, "Is this Susanoo's true form? It's incredibly strong. This barrier shouldn't hold her for long, but my preparation time is nearly up!"
Izumi's eyes narrowed as she observed the peculiar chamber.
A barrier used to trap Pain?
A sly smile crept across her lips.
Producing a scroll, she drew out a bottle of blood.
Using her own blood as a medium, she shouted, "Summoning Technique!"
Boom!
The battlefield erupted as a colossal purple giant snake was summoned, towering and majestic.
Izumi stood atop the giant serpent's head, a smug grin on her face as she surveyed the stunned crowd.
"Is that... Manda?" Gamahiro's voice was sharp with alarm.
Jiraiya's eyes widened in disbelief. "How did she summon Manda? Does she even have the ability?"
Gamahiro turned to Jiraiya. "I'll stall her as long as I can. Be careful — Manda will go berserk without a proper sacrifice."
"Understood!" Gamahiro raised his sword, moving to confront the giant serpent.
Manda's huge eyes flicked toward Izumi suspiciously.
"Kid, why are you like this?" the snake rumbled.
Izumi smirked. "Nothing much, Lord Manda. Just kill him!" She pointed at Gamahiro.
Manda let out a low snort.
"A minor character. No problem. Don't forget to bring me sake or a sacrifice next time."
"I will," Izumi promised.
With a deafening roar, Manda charged forward, its massive body smashing through houses and trees alike.
The two summoned beasts clashed fiercely, but it was clear Gamahiro was outmatched, constantly forced to evade the crushing strikes of the great serpent.
Jiraiya frowned deeply at the chaotic scene.
"We can't let it run rampant like this. Time is running out," he muttered.
Izumi gracefully leapt down from Manda's head, landing among the scattered ninja.
She flashed a wicked smile and announced, "I won't be using Susanoo anymore. I'll have a little fun with you all instead!"
She raised her hand, and a shimmering sphere of chakra formed, glowing with a brilliant sky-blue hue.
"Rasengan! She's learned that too? And with elemental chakra transformation? This girl just keeps getting more dangerous!" Jiraiya shouted to the ninja nearby.
"Everyone, retreat! This move is extremely lethal!"
Izumi's eyes gleamed cruelly as she sent the glowing sphere hurtling toward the enemy ranks.
"Rasengan Torrent!"
The sphere exploded midair, transforming into a massive spinning water vortex.
The swirling storm released countless droplets and beads of chakra-infused water, firing like a barrage of deadly bullets in every direction.
"Ahhh!" cries of pain echoed as the ninja were pierced by the relentless water beads.
Many fell wounded or lifeless, blood staining the battlefield in a grim testament.
Those still standing stepped back in fear, hesitant to approach the relentless assault.
Izumi's laughter rang out clear and triumphant.
"So exhilarating! This is the feeling of true power!"
Jiraiya's face darkened with anger.
"You fiend! You actually enjoy slaughtering your comrades! Such behavior is unforgivable!"
Izumi's expression shifted, her laughter fading into a cold, quiet gaze.
"Comrades?" she whispered. "I have no comrades. Not since my mother died."
Jiraiya's eyes narrowed.
"Is that so? Then I'll have to get serious myself."
His pupils shifted, turning into those of a frog, and his nose lengthened grotesquely.
Two elderly toads appeared, perched on his shoulders.
"Then I shall send you back to the Pure Land!"
---
The air crackled with tension as the fierce battle escalated between two of the most powerful shinobi present. The fate of many hung in the balance, and neither Izumi nor Jiraiya showed signs of backing down
