Chapter 41 - dj

"Ah! What is this?" The Root ninja gasped in shock as a towering green giant emerged from Shisui's body. A chill of fear ran through their hearts as they stared at the manifestation of Susanoo — but it was incomplete, formed with only one eye. The spectral warrior's fierce presence rippled through the battlefield.

From a distance, Izumi watched the famous scene unfold with a bright, excited smile on her face. "This is Susanoo, but only with one eye," she whispered, admiration in her voice. "Amazing, Uchiha Shisui."

However, Izumi was also pragmatic. "But it can only last for a short time," she noted quietly.

Sure enough, moments later, Shisui's Susanoo faded away, just as Uchiha Itachi arrived in the nick of time to save him from their attackers.

Izumi's lips curled into a sneer as she turned away. She already possessed one of Shisui's precious Sharingan eyes, and that was all she needed for now. With this powerful tool in her possession, her next steps would be critical — a plan involving life and death, a plan of her own making.

Suddenly, with a splash, Shisui leapt into the river below, ending his own life with a resolute dive.

Izumi halted, turning to gaze at Shisui's lifeless form drifting in the water. From the sleeve of her kimono, a snake slithered out, smooth and silent.

"Go," she commanded softly, "bring his body back."

The snake wriggled quickly toward the river, its sleek form cutting through the water as it searched for the fallen Uchiha.

---

Back in her home, Izumi moved silently to a window, gazing thoughtfully at the bright moon hanging high in the night sky.

"It's time to go there," she whispered, her voice carrying a calm determination.

---

The next morning, Izumi stood before a mirror, examining her reflection. Though she already resembled the legendary Uchiha Izumi from the story, there was something more striking about her — a chilling beauty that was both cold and graceful.

Her tall, elegant frame seemed poised for action, and her long hair flowed like liquid silk.

"So many years have passed," Izumi murmured, a faint sigh escaping her lips. Time seemed to have flown by, but her resolve remained unshaken.

Leaving behind a shadow clone in Konoha to maintain her cover, Izumi set out on her journey alone, heading toward the mysterious gateway to the moon.

---

She took out an ancient scroll, carefully unrolling it. Her fingers traced across the delicate paper, and suddenly, an ink-wash painting of a bird sprung to life on the surface of the scroll.

"Ninjutsu: Super Beast Imitation Art!" Izumi declared proudly.

The ink bird fluttered and lifted from the scroll, becoming a real, tangible creature that obeyed her every command.

With a confident smile, Izumi touched the bird's delicate feathers. "I can paint it directly without using a brush — saves me the trouble of drawing."

Then she moved to the next step.

Countless intricate lines appeared on her hands, forming acceleration talismans that glowed faintly as they wrapped around her skin.

She settled herself atop the bird's back, ready to fly.

---

The bird shot forward at breathtaking speed.

Izumi's body tensed, unprepared for the velocity.

"Oh! This speed is insane — like a rocket blasting through the sky!" she exclaimed, gripping tightly.

"But this means I'll arrive at my destination very soon."

---

As she soared, Izumi gazed down at the world beneath her. The landscape was cloaked in pristine white snow, sparkling under the sun's rays.

After flying for a long time, Izumi finally spotted her destination.

She straightened up, excited.

"Ah, I've arrived. It should be right here."

Leaping off the bird's back, she prepared to land — and with a flick of her fingers, she used paper ninjutsu to soften her descent.

The bird dissipated into swirling ink as Izumi touched the ground lightly.

---

"Super Beast Imitation Art!" she whispered again, summoning a swarm of tiny ink beetles and mice.

They scattered in all directions, scurrying across the snowy ground, searching for a hidden location.

After a moment, one of the ink creatures stopped and chirped.

"Found it!"

Izumi grinned excitedly and dashed toward the revealed spot.

---

The trail led her to the entrance of a hidden cave.

Inside, a sparkling spring shimmered under the dim light, the water crystal clear and alive with strange bubbles that floated upwards, glowing faintly with peculiar light.

Izumi's heart beat faster.

The inhabitants of the moon were known to be powerful — far stronger than any ninja she had faced. She couldn't rely on her own dojutsu alone; the risk was too great.

But with Shisui's Sharingan in her possession, her confidence grew.

---

Without hesitation, Izumi dove into the spring, submerging beneath the water's surface.

The strange cave enveloped her in eerie silence. One by one, iridescent bubbles floated by, each shimmering with a mysterious glow.

Activating her Kamui barrier, she wrapped herself in a protective sphere.

"This is my first time using this underwater," she thought.

"This barrier should prevent genjutsu from affecting me."

---

Izumi sank deeper and deeper, passing through several lakes connected beneath the surface.

Finally, she reached the bottom.

Removing her barrier, she found herself in a dim cavern filled with hundreds of glowing bubbles.

She quickly reactivated Kamui, cloaking herself from detection.

Silently, she moved through the cave, eyes searching for the exit.

---

Ahead, she spotted a faint light.

"Light? Ah, it's just ahead," she murmured, breaking into a smile.

Emerging from the cave, Izumi saw a breathtaking sight.

An island floated in the air, surrounded by a vast sea. The sun shone brightly in the sky.

"It's quite spectacular," she said softly, eyes wide with wonder.

---

Next came the true challenge: finding her target.

She activated her sensing ninjutsu, sweeping her surroundings carefully.

"It's quite large here," she noted, narrowing down the search.

Suddenly, her senses locked onto a powerful chakra signature in the distance.

"There! Found it."

She grinned mischievously, sticking out her tongue and licking her lips.

Her excitement was palpable.

---

Inside the palace of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, tension crackled in the air.

An aged man, his eyes filled with malice, spoke coldly to a woman and a child.

"Our branch family has won the victory," he said, "but because of the Reincarnation Eye's power and the struggle over its ultimate ownership, our clan fell into chaos. Almost all have perished."

His gaze darkened.

"Now, it's time for you to dedicate yourselves to the family's future. Back then, you sacrificed your eyes and gained the Reincarnation Eye."

"Now, with your bloodline power, I will completely control this Reincarnation Eye and gain immeasurable power. I will not perish like this, hahahaha!"

---

The young woman, holding the child protectively, responded with fierce indignation.

"Just for that, you killed so many clan members?"

"We offered our eyes so that you could defeat the main family!"

"Scoundrel, I will not allow you to kill the young master."

---

She prepared to unleash her trump card — a last desperate move to sacrifice herself, transferring her bloodline power to the young master.

But before she could act, the clan head suddenly froze in place. His eyes glazed over as if a spell had taken hold.

"What? What's happening? What new scheme is this?" the woman cried, clutching the child nervously.

To her horror, she and the child also slipped into a dazed, trance-like state.

---

Suddenly, Izumi appeared before them, her finger imbued with Divine Ink connected to a Mangekyo Sharingan, now evolving into a Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

She covered her mouth and chuckled softly.

"Shisui's eye is truly remarkable. His Kotoamatsukami is powerful beyond imagination. Even those without eyes fall under its spell. Anyone I see will be controlled."

She laughed coldly, a hint of madness in her voice.

---

Turning to the clan head, Izumi demanded, "Take me to the place where you hide the Reincarnation Eye."

The clan head knelt, eyes filled with resignation.

"Yes, Master."

---

He led her to a grand chamber deep within the palace.

There, floating in midair, was the giant golden Reincarnation Eye.

A white hexagonal snowflake pattern shimmered in its center, radiating a warm golden light that filled the room.

Izumi clapped her hands excitedly.

"Wow. It's truly beautiful."

---

She turned to the clan head and commanded, "You go outside. I'll handle things here. I will take care of this Sharingan. Guard it well and don't let anyone else near."

The clan head bowed deeply.

"Yes, Master," he said before leaving promptly.

---

Alone, Izumi sneered to herself.

"Shisui," she whispered, "Danzo was right. You were foolish to use such a powerful eye just to stop a coup. What a waste of talent."

She smiled darkly.

"But my Kamui isn't so bad either."

Her eyes fixed greedily on the golden Reincarnation Eye.

---

"With this eye, there is no one in the ninja world I need fear," she said softly.

"In fact, I can do whatever I want."

Her scarlet Mangekyo Sharingan gleamed with sinister intent.

"But it's a pity... this power does not truly belong to me — yet
