Damien studied the towering guardian beast carefully. Fluffy sat down with exaggerated dignity, towering like a mighty bone-sculpted statue.
He cleared his massive throat, sending wisps of necrotic smoke drifting lazily upward, and began in a dramatic tone.
"Ahem! Gather 'round, my young disciples and mom," Fluffy began, giving Blackie an exaggeratedly wary look. "Let me tell you of the legendary Cosmic Battlefield!"
Rage Monkey immediately plopped down, eyes wide with excitement, tail wagging like a child at storytime. Blackie sat regally to the side, carefully maintaining her aloof demeanor, while Damien stood with arms folded, patiently attentive.
"Long before my master existed, or even his master's master's master's master—that's like, ancient history squared—there was a war of such catastrophic proportions it makes the battles you've seen look like mild disagreements among kittens." Fluffy puffed his chest proudly, pausing for dramatic effect.
