Ava felt something inside her collapse.
Liam had traveled across mountains and rivers, just to see her for a moment. Because he was worried about her.
All the frustration and grievance she'd been suppressing from being wrongly accused seemed to vanish in that instant.
She leaned gently into his arms and whispered, "When that man broke in and tried to tear off my clothes, I was so disgusted I wanted to throw up. All I could think was—if he really dared to touch me, I'd kill him first, then kill myself."
