Dimitri's eyes narrowed dangerously as he surveyed the frightened crowd, his authority suffocating in its intensity.
"Your Highness, please forgive me. I only spoke out of turn. I never meant what I said. Please have mercy on this subject of yours." The gamma lord choked the words out while kneeling, palms flat against the cold floor.
Dimitri's jaw tightened. "An apology doesn't solve all things. If that was the case then people will just keep committing crimes, speaking out of turns and apologize for it. Anyways as of today," he said, each syllable cold and deliberate, "the gamma lord is forbidden from setting foot inside the Imperial Palace except when personally summoned by me." He paused long enough for his words to sink in, then continued, "The same ban applies to every member of his family. Anyone caught sneaking them in will be accused of treason. They will be executed, and their heads hung at the city gate."
Sharp, involuntary gasp rippled through the ministers.
