East Blue, Loguetown.
"So Roger died here? How boring. What a waste of his treasure."
Bright red lipstick, dark sunglasses, a cane in one hand. She was short, wrinkled, and draped in a leopard-print coat. The elderly woman scoffed as she looked at the execution platform.
A nearby passerby, Goshi, shivered before he spoke up.
"Stupid old hag, what do you know? Roger was the Pirate King! The man who started the Great Pirate Era!"
"Old hag?" Miss Buckin turned her head toward the speaker.
That gaze alone made Goshi instinctively step back. A second later, he puffed out his chest, trying to act tough.
"What are you looking at, you old crone? Keep staring, and I'll knock your teeth out!"
"Weevil!!!"
"Mama!"
It was only when Weevil responded that Goshi finally realized—
What he thought was a wall behind the old lady… was actually a man.
"Cut him down!"
"Yes, Mama."
Sniffling, Weevil raised his massive seven-meter-long blade.
A flash of steel.
Goshi was cleaved in half. Behind him, the execution platform was split cleanly in two.
The gathered tourists, well-versed in Loguetown's dangers, scattered instantly.
"Let's go, Weevil."
Just then, a voice rang out across the entire town.
"Professional dealers, proudly sponsored by the Donquixote Family!"
"The first-ever God of Gambling Tournament is about to begin, spanning all four seas and the New World!"
"No entry requirements! The grand prize: 1 billion Belly and a Devil Fruit! Sign up now!"
The announcement echoed across the world, sending shockwaves everywhere.
"Ohhh! One billion Belly?!"
"Is this for real? Can the Donquixote Family really afford that?"
"Idiot! The Donquixote Family runs auctions! You think they can't cough up a measly billion?"
"Wait, it's free to enter? Then I'm signing up!"
Miss Buckin, who had been about to leave, suddenly had Belly flashing in her eyes.
"Weevil! Take me to sign up!"
...
Flevance, the royal palace.
The place had changed beyond recognition.
A strange assembly line stretched across the palace grounds. One by one, soldiers and nobles were placed onto the conveyor belt.
At the first station, two researchers in suits bearing the Germa 66 insignia injected glowing green serums into the test subjects.
Some turned into trees. Others, writhing in pain, exploded into chunks of flesh.
A horned man and a scientist with glass sprouting from his arms cackled as they observed the results.
"Doffy, I'm back."
The pilot, Yamato, landed, reporting in. She frowned slightly at the assembly line, clearly uneasy. But after noticing the luxurious clothing of the test subjects, she exhaled in relief.
As for Buffalo… well, if Lord Doflamingo did it, then it must be for a reason.
In the distance, Rosinante led Trafalgar through a passage cleared by clone soldiers.
He gently covered Lami's eyes, his expression darkening as he spotted the pink-feathered figure in the distance.
Lina, standing beside him, shuddered. Rosinante's brother was anything but a kind man.
Sensing his wife's unease, Rosinante tightened his grip on her hand, pulling her closer. Meanwhile, Law felt nothing but satisfaction.
These nobles, these so-called royals, and their loyal enforcers—now they would suffer as their victims had.
"Brother!"
Above them, multiple surveillance Den Den Mushi hovered around the assembly line, capturing the spectacle.
Doflamingo, engrossed in his latest masterpiece, didn't even turn around.
"Do you even know the name of the family you're trying to save?"
"Trafalgar." Rosinante blinked in confusion. "Why does that matter?"
"Wrong." Doflamingo chuckled, turning toward them. His expression, illuminated by the firelight, was unreadable.
"Doctor Bone, your full name is Trafalgar Water D. Bone, correct?"
Rosinante's face turned pale. He tried to cast a Soundless Barrier, but before he could act—
A stunned Bone had already answered.
"Yes, Lord Doflamingo. But… how do you know that? The 'D' is a hidden name in my family."
Sweat beaded on Rosinante's forehead. He tried to move, but the strings had already bound him in place.
"Fufufufu… no need to be so nervous, Rosinante."
Doflamingo loomed over the Trafalgar family, his features obscured by flickering flames.
"Doctor Bone, you have no idea what 'D' truly means, do you?"
Bone hesitated, glancing between Rosinante and his brother, unsure of what was happening.
"No… my father only told me to hide it. Our family has passed the name down for generations."
Doflamingo grinned, malice dripping from his voice.
"The 'D' represents the Clan of D. Enemies of the Gods. And those so-called 'Gods'… are the Celestial Dragons."
Young Law's head snapped up.
"Dad! Rosinante… they're Celestial Dragons?!"
Had they just walked into a trap?
Bone grabbed Lina's hand, trying to flee. But in the next instant, he too was strung up like a puppet—just like Rosinante.
"Fufufufu~"
Doflamingo laughed so hard, he nearly cried.
In the original timeline, his foolish older brother had assumed he'd execute Law just because he carried a 'D.'
As if Doflamingo would care about something so trivial. If anything, it only made him more excited—
A strong Law was far more entertaining.
Yamato nudged Buffalo. "Has Doffy lost it?"
Buffalo smacked her hand away. "Shut up! Lord Doflamingo is looking cooler than ever! Where are your eyes?!"
Ignoring the peanut gallery, Doflamingo smiled warmly—a smile that sent chills down spines.
"Relax. We're no longer Celestial Dragons."
"And this whole 'enemy of the gods' thing? That's just a nightmare for the pigs in Mary Geoise."
"Because the only true god—"
Doflamingo's strings lifted the puppets into the air.
"—is me."
"And a real god has no enemies!"
The threads loosened. The Trafalgar family collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.
They exchanged glances, their faces filled with relief.
Rosinante wiped the cold sweat off his back.
"Shurorororo! Boss, you looked incredible! An absolute force of nature!"
Caesar Clown gushed, hands clasped together in admiration.
Damn it! He beat me to it again! Judge cursed internally.
Meanwhile, the clone soldiers fell to their knees in unison before Doflamingo.
Silent. Devoted.
"Alright, playtime's over."
Doflamingo's radiant smile made it clear—he was enjoying every second of this.
"Judge, bring the rest of Flevance's citizens here."
"Rosinante, take Doctor Bone and his family somewhere to rest."
