"Omega-level mutant can be described with just one word: limitless. They possess powers that aren't limited by drawbacks or physical changes that would reveal such powers. In most cases, they can go from something simple like being able to freeze a nuke before it can explode, to telepath being able to read minds across all the planets if they used their powers to their maximum power."
" And you are part of such a group? That is quite a big compliment."
" I am not sure I can be classified in such a group anymore."
" What? Why do you say that?"
" Because my powers have broken the machine that was used to scale the Omega-level mutants, I have reached this level of control in less than 5 months. I have become a part of this universe too, I feel every single human being laugh and live their life. I am a part of nature, the wind follows all my movements, and this dimension-"
" Dimension?"
" Yes, dimension, as one singular dimension across millions of dimensions."
" That... Is quite big news."
" Not as much as you think, most of them are lifeless or filled with animals that we have never seen, only a few of them have living beings with intelligence similar to humans."
" It relieves me and worries me at the same time."
" When I discovered it, I had your same reaction, it's only normal."
" Well, since you asked both of my questions, why don't we let some of the people here ask some questions?"
I simply nodded, and what followed was a mix of annoying and sometimes quite personal questions. Did I have a girlfriend? Why did I start healing in the USA and not somewhere else? Why had I kept myself hidden until now and not worked under the government like the Avengers?
Most of these questions had only been to show me in a bad light, hidden reporters among the crowd trying to make the biggest scoop possible, but thanks to several high-level Cha skills, a Cha of 100, and two new perks that boosted the effect of two, I had a way with words that destroyed all the logic behind their questions, turning the bad light they were trying to put me under back at them.
While I was speaking, I felt several humans, and even aliens, trying to stop the broadcast, but with the quick use of Chaos magic, I had placed them all to sleep, my awareness over this planet making me able to know what every single being on it, unless protected, was doing.
I was becoming aware of dark secrets that no human being should know, I was becoming aware of the ploys of Apocalypse, of the desperate struggle of Mr. Sinister, of the Eternals still walking on this earth, I was becoming aware of how little I could do aagaints being like Celestials, of how my powers paled in front of being like the Mad Titan and his research of the stones, of how I had still room for growth, but little time to grow.
But I have done it until now, and will do it once again.
" Mr. Adrian?"
" Yes, sorry, what was your question?" I said while refocusing after I had placed to sleep another Shield's Agent.
" I asked you what are current objectives are now that everyone is healed? What will happen when someone gets injured? Will you heal them again? Will you continue saving people who are in danger?"
' Ah, the big question, my answer will change how people treat me. In one case, I will become a piece of this world that, if failing at its job, will cause an uproar and anger towards me; on the other hand, I will be seen as a cold and detached being that won't help everyone.'
" I will continue helping, I will continue doing my best to keep this world safe, but let me ask you a question: What happens when I fail? When the world sees that I am not perfect, that under this power, control, and intelligence lies a 19-year-old kid who wishes to help more than anything else? Will it be seen as a monster? Will the people I saved, healed, fought for, and shush me away as I am unworthy of their approval?"
" But then-" She was about to answer, but I interrupted her by raising my hand.
" I haven't finished, when I will fail, and considering how I am human, sooner or later it will happen, I will face the consequences of my actions, but be aware that I am not a god, and even though I am not one I have enough patience and goodness in my heart to continue helping even after failing."
She remained silent for a few seconds. I could see the effect of my skills taking effect on her as her hands clenched in a punch, she wanted to ask me more, but she couldn't find the words, everyone was missing words, the meaning behind my words hitting their guts harder than even I expected.
Fortunately, Steve found the words before the silence became heavier.
" *Coff Well, changing the subject, who is your favourite hero?"
" Spiderman."
I felt a wild Peter jump up and down in happiness somewhere on Earth.
" Really?"
" What is there not to like about him? He is exactly what I meant with my words before; he keeps going, even after being seen as a menace, being described as a villain, and sometimes even hunted by police, he keeps going, he fails, gets defeated, and almost dies every single time, but he keeps getting up, I have never seen someone with such a good heart in my life, and I will continue to think of him as someone most people should aspire to become."
" A hero?"
" No, a kid who knows that with great power comes great responsibility."
The wild Spider is too stunned to speak.
