Chapter 117: THREE KINGS INHERITANCE (21)
Long Qing Tian was feeling like a main character. "The way my luck is popping off right now," he whispered to himself.
Bro fr thinks he's him 😭🙏
He'd stumbled into a glitched-out corner of the map where the game's rules barely existed. tf this luck man.
"The heavenly power here is on life support," he grinned, a "this is about to go so viral" look on his face. "I can actually use my Gu. Watch this."
He unleashed his signature move, the Jade Sky Gu. A sickly, aesthetic celadon filter began spreading across the code of the land itself. "I'm gonna corrupt the source files and make my own backdoor. Once I do, I'll have admin privileges in here. This whole event becomes my personal lootbox."
He was mid-maniacal laugh when he sensed a presence. He spun, his vibe instantly switching to "Now, where's the cute little stream sniper?"
"Oh. It's you." Long Qing Tian squinted at Fang Yuan. "Little Beast King. Hehehehehe."
Why does this kid think he the mc bro 😭🙏
Fang Yuan didn't do the "hello, brother" RP. He😭🙏 just yeeted a bone spike.
Long Qing Tian snorted, popping his one defensive skill. The area around him was already a poisoned aura zone. Fang Yuan couldn't get close without catching the "eternal bad skin day" debuff.
What followed was a sad display. Long Qing Tian could only use one skill at a time. Fang Yuan, with the Land Spirit's hacks, had his whole kit unlocked. It was someone on a broken controller vs. a PC player.
Long Qing Tian's health bar plummeted. As he fell, his body turned that same toxic jade green. He looked up at Fang Yuan with a "you may have won, but I got the last laugh" smirk, then hit the self-destruct button on his own Gu.
Mf deleted his own acc 😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏
"Typical demonic user," Fang Yuan muttered, wiping his hands on his robe metaphorically.
He couldn't loot the body. It was a biohazard drop. Touching it meant getting the incurable Jade Sky Poison, a status effect only four top-tier healers in the server could maybe fix. The risk-reward ratio was in the "are you stupid?" zone.
"Stupid ass troller," Fang Yuan sighed, "I had to waste my last bit of server credit on him. The Beast Placenta Gu is stuck at 89%. So close."
He looked at the spreading green corruption on the landscape. It was a visual representation of lag. This hole would accelerate the server's death spiral. The clock was now ticking louder.
"No time for perfect optimization," he said, turning back to the main hall. "Gotta speed things up now."
Meanwhile, in a completely different server (Central Continent), Fang Yuan's little brother was having his own main character arc.
Fang Zheng was climbing the ranks on Dang Hun Mountain, fueled by his secret weapon: Lord Sky Crane whispering cheat codes in his ear. He was passing other elite players left and right, his name climbing the live leaderboards.
"Who is this guy? He came out of nowhere!"
"Fang Zheng... is he the secret weapon of Immortal Crane Sect?"
"There is no way this guy isn't a smurfer!"
From the VIP spectator box (the space outside the blessed land), the Gu Immortal streamers were watching.
"He's in fourth place now," mused He Feng Yang, the Immortal Crane sponsor. "My investment is paying off."
"The top three are still Feng Jin Huang, Ying Sheng Ji, and Xiao Qi Xing," another immortal commented. "But this dark horse... he could upset the bracket."
They didn't know this dark horse was being fed strats by a dead player's ghost. The "secret coaching" meta was strong.
Back in the decaying Southern Border server, Fang Yuan was in the final stages of the most stressful crafting mini-game of his life.
"Add ninety grams of Willow Orpiment," he commanded, his voice hoarse. The Land Spirit materialized the ancient ingredient.
Two days and one night of this. His character model had deep eyebags and messy hair physics. He looked like he'd been "grinding for 72 hours straight" well, essentially, he had.
Finally, he held the result: a lump of dull, grey, unremarkable stone.
"It's done," the Land Spirit said, its voice weak but proud. "The False Gu. One more step. Turn it real."
Fang Yuan stared at it, a mix of exhaustion and grim determination. "Only one step."
He checked the server status. "How much Immortal Essence is left?"
"Five portions."
Eighteen days had passed since the Long Qing Tian incident. The server was dying faster than expected. New players were flooding in, sensing the endgame. Clans were mobilizing their whole guilds.
"Five portions left, and the craft is only two-thirds done," Fang Yuan calculated. He asked for the date.
"October 19th."
A date clicked in his memory. "October 24th... That's the day Feng Jin Huang inherits the Hu Immortal Blessed Land in the original timeline."
A wave of distant, ironic frustration hit him. His greatest future rival was about to get the most broken starter pack imaginable, a whole private server of her own, while he was here sweating over a single mythical item.
He had no idea his own brother was currently in a simp war with that same future rival for that very prize. The butterfly effect of his rebirth was glitching timelines everywhere.
"Can't worry about Central Continent drama," he shook his head, forcing focus. "I have my own server wipe to survive."
October 20th. The main hall looked emptier, its magical engravings faded. Fang Yuan looked like a ghost.
October 21st. Bad news. A new Rank 5 had entered the server. Xiao Mang, from the Xiao Clan. Light Path specialist. Owner of the Extreme Light Gu.
"The Extreme Light Gu can summon the ancient Light of Glory," the Land Spirit panicked. "It can shine through ANYTHING, even this blessed land! He's a hard counter!"
Fang Yuan, too tired for panic, just scoffed. "Relax. He looted that Gu from a secret boss. It's a bugged item. He can only use it three times a month or it breaks. He's not a threat, he's a resource."
October 22nd.
FWUMP
"Damn it! Again!" Fang Yuan spat virtual blood. His screen shook with the "crafting failure" animation. This step had a 10% success rate. This was his third fail. The resource drain was terrifying.
"No time... no time to be unlucky," he gritted his teeth, initiating attempt number four. The Immortal Essence counter ticked below four portions.
October 23rd. Success.
In his hand was a Gu that looked like a poorly rendered clay beetle. The False Second Aperture Gu.
"Young man," the Land Spirit whispered, its voice thin with static. "You did it. Now... the final step. Turn false into real."
"Only one step," Fang Yuan repeated, his tone hollow. This last step required using the Divine Travel Immortal Gu to perform a "qualitative transmutation." He'd never done this. He had to "add in third watch, and another third watch, obtaining nine." It would subject him to a time acceleration of nine times normal speed.
It was the ultimate risk. Externally, every guild and their mother was about to break into the main hall. Internally, speeding up time would supercharge the Spring Autumn Cicada in his inventory, putting catastrophic pressure on his aperture. He'd be juggling a server raid and a potential hardware meltdown at the same time.
"It's a bet," he said to the empty hall. "But I'm all in."
October 24th. D-Day.
Fang Yuan woke from a forced power-nap. "Showtime."
Outside the grand bronze doors of the main hall, two people awaited.
Feng Tian Yu knelt instantly, presenting a limestone-like Gu. "Master. The Undefeated Hundred Battles Gu. I also completed the King Xin inheritance." Behind him stood several hundred Hairy Men NPCs, drawn to his supreme crafting stats.
"Good NPC," Fang Yuan said, taking the Gu.
He turned to Bai Ning Bing. She was staring at the massive doors with a look of "oh, so that's what this is".
"You'd better remember your promise," she said, not looking at him.
"I remember," Fang Yuan smiled. He looked past her at her "army"—nearly a hundred thousand dogs in a state of beautiful, chaotic "idle animation spam." They were barking, rolling, chasing tails. It was less an army, more a massive, distracting petting zoo.
"Defensive formation only," he ordered. "Do not chase. Just stand there and look intimidating. Be a wall of floof."
"Whatever. Just give me the Yang Gu when this is over."
Meanwhile, at the mountain peak in the outside world, players were losing their minds.
"Two of the light pillars are GONE! Someone got the King Xin and King Quan inheritances!"
"Who? Where are the Rank 5s? Why hasn't anyone logged out?"
"This whole event is SUS."
Xiao Mang chose this moment for his "main character" entrance.
"The blessed land is dying!" he announced, striking a pose. "The final gates will open soon for everyone! And I... will open them now!"
He activated his combo:
Extreme Light Gu (The Bugged Spotlight)
Heaven's Will Gu (The "I'm the Main Character" Buff)
Empty Fist Gu (The Big Damage)
KILLER MOVE: Immemorial Light Fist!
The sky darkened. A fist made of pure, ancient light the size of a mountain formed and slammed into nothingness.
KR-SHOOOOM!
The sound of breaking code. A massive, jagged hole tore open in reality, connecting the outside world directly to the decaying guts of the Three Kings Inheritance server.
The final raid had begun. And inside his soon-to-be-not-so-secret base, Fang Yuan took a deep breath and picked up the False Gu.
"Land Spirit. Initiate the final sequence. Turn false into real."
