There were around 150 students who participated in this preliminary tournament, each of them determined to bring honor and glory to their school and show the other races that humans were on top.
The only rule here was no killing, so this meant that students could go all out without having to worry about being injured since the best healers at the academy were on standby. The healers knew healing magic, had the wood element, and could use the healing rune. Since they were mages, they could also use a magic circle to amplify their healing abilities.
Each student here was a fourth-year student, and the gap between third-year and fourth-year students' strength was huge. The weakest of this bunch were in the Expert stage, while the best of them were in the master stage. To be fair, the stronger ones were nobles, so they had the best resources, but that's still impressive nonetheless.
