Chapter 58 - Part 57:

The air crackles with tension, the stench of ozone thick in the room.

Darius: *Turns towards Cha Hae-In, a reassuring smile on his face but his eyes betray him.* Could you kindly take Jinah into another room?

Cha Hae-In: *Arches a brow, suspicion evident in her gaze.* Why?

Darius: *Sighs, running a hand through his leaf-colored hair.* We can't compromise our location by taking a darkling along for the ride. What we're about to do will be an unpleasant sight for his darling sister.

Understanding dawns on Hae-In's face, her expression hardening with resolve.

Cha Hae-In: *Nods curtly and gestures for Jinah to follow.* Come on. Let's give them some space.

Jinah: *Follows her, glancing back at the imposer in her brother's skin.* Save him, please?

Cha Hae-In: *Places a reassuring hand on Jinah's shoulder, guiding her out of the room.* I'm sure they'll do everything they can.

The heavy door clicks shut, leaving a thick silence in its wake. Darius turns to face the darkling, his gentle smile gone, replaced by a chilling stillness. The air crackles with an unspoken tension. Darius stares at the one who's wearing Sung Jin-Woo's face like a stolen mask.

Darius: *His voice, usually soft, now drips with ice.* You… abomination. You dare defile this innocent human being with your presence?

Imposer: *He merely smirks, a predatory gleam in his eyes. He stretches, testing the limits of the stolen vessel, the ropes suddenly not strong enough to hold him captive.* This power… magnificent… such a worthy prize.

Darius: *Wings flare out, feathers rustling like dried leaves in a storm. His eyes burn with celestial fire.* You will not have him. We will retrieve Jin-Woo's vessel, even if it means tearing it from your filthy grasp.

Imposer: *Lets out a low, rumbling laugh that shakes the very foundations of the room.* Try, little bird. But know this, the human's vessel is mine. His power fuels my own. He is key to unlocking a power unlike any you have ever witnessed. Even the brothers Three would fear me.

The imposer raises a hand, Jin-Woo's hand, and black tendrils of shadow erupt, snaking across the floor. The shadows writhe and pulse with a menacing energy.

Darius: *Takes a step back, his expression a mixture of disgust and concern.* This power… it's twisted, corrupted. What have you done to him?

Imposer: *Grins, a cruel mockery of Jin-Woo's usual stoicism.* Improved it. Magnified it. Made it my own. A weapon. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a world to conquer.

But before the imposer could make a run for it, Destiny blocked his way, by drawing her dagger fully, she illuminated the shadows, cutting off any escape route.
