'Should I entrust Guin to them instead?'
The thought lingered for only a moment before Adam dismissed it.
'No... I should not.'
The Government was involved with the S-Rankers.
Perhaps not every member or department were in cahoots with them, but a large enough number did...
The recent events had proven that certain influential figures within the Government were secretly supporting the plans and ambitions of the S-Rankers.
Until Adam understood the full extent of their involvement, he could not risk handing Guin over to them.
Trusting the wrong person could easily place her in greater danger.
'Also... if Leila had truly betrayed me, why would she show me visions of what the S-rankers were doing...?'
Had she truly betrayed him fully, or was there something that Adam was not aware of?
Knowing so little about the government and the s-rankers plans for the future... Adam was truly frustrated now.
His thoughts drifted toward his previous life.
