They were in the bookshop as Susannah and Valencia was looking around. "I do need some new reading." Valencia's eyes start sparkling. It was a book cover that had a prince holding on to a man with a dark cloak.
"The stone Prince and his Warlock volume two are out." Valencia reach for it but someone else did the same.
"Forgive me- Oh Susannah." Usher wave at her. Susannah tilt her head and grinned.
"Usher! You're here as well it must be faith." She exclaimed.
Usher turned his eyes somewhere else. "Yeah faith."
Valencia place her arm over Susannah's shoulder. "Oui Ann, who this?"
"Val this is Usher I was talking about." Valencia look annoyed by his presents, Usher saw it but kept silent. Valencia step in front of Susannah and lift her hand up.
"I'm Valencia, let's all get lunch together." Valencia smiled. Usher shook her hand. "That sounds great." Usher grinned. There was a diner on the lower floor, as they sat at a booth with Valencia and Clover sitting across from Susannah and Usher.
"This place has some great votes." Susannah mentioned. Usher put his arm behind Susannah.
"I can tell." Usher grinned. Clover's eyes twitched as his hands were under his chin.
"So Usher, what do you do?" Clover asked stirling his drink.
"I work under my Aunt you must have heard of Vortex Seed?" Usher replied.
Valencia snapped her fingers. "Yeah magical seeds that can touch any dry land?"
"Where are you posted at that place anyway?" Susannah smiled.
"Oh, just testing the seed that all and you three?" Usher smirked as he plays with his fork.
"My Uncle's Cafe." Susannah answered.
"We are in school." Clover and Valencia spoked.
Clover watches the clock wanting to get out of here. "I think it's time for us to leave." He stood up letting Susannah go first. Usher also got up and grab Susannah's hand.
"Wait a moment, Susannah may I have a date with you?" The two students gasped, Susannah was also taking off guard.
"So blurt is that how you ask a lady?" She joked, Usher covered his laughed.
"Do you want flowers, tulips or lilacs?" Usher smirked. She turn around and tilt her head to think.
"Specials me." As the three left the diner and went back to the school, Susannah went to the HeadMaster's Office.
"HeadMaster I talk to someone that works in Vortex Seed." Susannah explained to him.
"Good work, Susannah." Quinn smiled.
Susannah put her hands together. "But I will like to make an requested?"
Quinn leans his head into his hand. "Of course anything?"
Susannah clear her throat. "I need to be friends with them." Quinn flinched at her.
"That is dangerous are you sure?" Quinn had to make sure his daughter was not in some trap about this.
Susannah crosses her arms with pride as she lifts her nose in the air. "Danger is my middle name."
Quinn chuckled at that. "I thought it was your Grandmother's name." She smiled and left the office.
Next Day*
Susannah was waiting at a corner. Her tailored blazer feather a windowpane plaid in navy and a subtle cream pair with a knee length black dress and navy boot as she fixed her hair. She always kept them in space buns with braided hoops but today she kept her hair down.
"Hey!" Usher waved at her. His grey button down shirt with black jeans. "Hey." Susannah wave back.
"Let go." Usher lifted his arm up as she wrapped her arm around his, they played video games, ate snacks and then went to the park and sat by the park fountain. Then they got to talking.
"So I tried to use one of my arms to reach the cookie jar." Susannah laughed.
Usher chuckled. "No way!"
"I know so bonna of me." Susannah smiled, Usher sighed.
"This was fun." Susannah lower her head.
Usher chuckled. "Yeah I'm not good with people." She was a little shocked by that.
"Me too mostly cause they keep asking me what happened?" She rubs her arm seeing the burns mark around her real skin then the silver that covers it.
Usher crossed his arms, "Really I can't believe humans are still like that."
"Sometimes I don't think I'm human." She scoffed.
Usher put his head on the bench. "You're the most human I know."
Susannah place her hands on her knees. "What about your Aunt?" He flinched at that.
"Monster are not humans." He affirmed.
"Sorry for asking." Susannah said.
Usher chuckled. "No it's a fine guess we are both more humans than humans." Usher got close to her face.
Susannah's eyes glow a soft gaze. "Hmmm Usher?" Susannah asked.
"Yeah." Usher got closer. "You're close to my face." Susannah boop his nose.
"Sooooo same time next week." Usher stood up, as Susannah nodded. "It a date and this time, bring peace lily." Susannah walk away.
Susannah went to her room and got ready for tonight, this time in the Underworld. Quinn had Luther,Dewberry, and Donovan.
"Orchid not coming?" Luther asked. Dewberry chuckled. "He couldn't walk so I'm covering for him." Dewberry smirked. Then the mask one was there.
"That's the mask one?" Dewberry asked.
Donovan got in front of Quinn. "Who are you?"
Peace Lily walks away from them. Donovan threw a dagger at them as they blocked it. "I'm just doing my job." Peace Lily jumped from building to building.
Next Morning*
Donovan stepped into the HeadMaster's Office. "HeadMaster?"
"Yes." Quinn smiled.
"Peace Lily I think I know who it is?"
Quinn cheered up. "Really?"
"It-" The office went silent. Now we go to the classroom where the students wait for the teacher. Susannah was standing in front of the class.
Valencia was playing with her pen. "How was your date, Susannah?"
Susannah smirked. "It wasn't a date I was getting information on my target and better understand him with actives."
Clover raise an eyebrow. "Yeah a date." Then Mr.Orchid walk inside.
"Alright kids, Ms.Donovan is out sick but she left you with some work sheets." He passed them out.
"That weird." Clover looks at the work sheet.
"Susannah the HeadMaster wants you, I'm watching this class today." He announced. She nodded and walked out of the classroom, she open the HeadMaster's office.
"HeadMaster?" She speaks softly. There were papers on the ground, a crack in the wall and glass shard by the wall, she was standing at. Quinn was seating on the desk with his head in his knee.
"Roll up your sleeves, Susannah." Quinn demanded.
"Sorry?" Susannah was confused.
He lifted his head up. "I should not repeat myself." She flinched and did as she was told.
"Next sleeve." Quinn threatened.
"Dad I-" Quinn walked over to her and rolled up the sleeve himself.
"I knew it." Quinn looks at the dent in her robotic forearm, Susannah move her arm.
"Dad I can explain-"
Quinn slammed his hands on the desk. "Explain what?! My daughter has gone rouge!"
"No it just-"
Quinn punched a hole in the wall that was close to Susannah, as she flinched at the sound. "You have two options in life what did you choose!" He yelled. She was shaking. She not use to her Father acting like this.
"I just- Uh- I want to."
Quinn sighed and tried to calm himself down. "Luckily no one else knew, they could have you kill. That's how much trouble you cause!"
"I'm sorry-"
"A sorry not gonna cut it!"
"I just want to help!"
Quinn scoffed. "You want to help follow my order! Susannah you will stay in your room until I say so, you will not go to the cafe or help with the students. And whatever information you have on your little friend gave it to me." He expressed.
She nodded her head. "I need words, girl." He barked.
"Yes HeadMaster." She answered.
Quinn places his forehead close to her. "This is for your own good Lily, I hope in the future you will understand."
Susannah ran to her room not closing the HeadMaster's Office. As he slouched on his desk.
