He was almost reaching the Potion Master's office When his Pokemon stopped,the zorua jumped and began to scan a painting that hung on the corridor towards the entrance of student dormitory.
It was a snarling slytherine serpent.
"Relax, it's not alive" Magnus said.

the Pokemon jumped back up to his shoulders but it's eyes were still stuck on the painting.
Magnus plucked it into his arms instead... Snape would not like him swaggering in like he owned his office with his Pokemon patched on his shoulder,The least he could do was show a bit of humility, even though all of it would not matter in the end
He gave the standard three knocks.
" Enter" . That gloomy voice of the potion master answered
"You're late... I sent Draco a while ago" Snape said without looking up from whatever he was reading.
"Sorry, Professor" Magnus said. " Malfoy just told me And I came right away."
Knowing malfoy, he had probably delayed relaying the information intentionally just to get him in trouble
"No matter." Snape said now closing the book and looking up.
"This shall be brief. let me begin by thoroughly warning you, Mr. Magnus, that I will not tolerate any insolence from you any longer. I will ask you a question, Don't dare to me."
Magnus felt his heart palpitating madly. He couldn't see where this was going.
" A couple of days ago, you were here to serve your detention. Remember?"
He stood and walked around his desk. Magnus was debating on whether he shouldn't retreat and try to fly out of the office.
Honestly, although he knew that Snape was a law-abiding teacher and that he would not hurt a student, he did not trust in that assurance.
He didn't feel safe at all with just him and the potion master in the office...well he had his baby zorua but no much help there
"You were right here." he said standing next to the tiny vials and Magnus began to see the direction things were taking.
"I remember your Pokemon performed a Stupid Trickery, which of course you thought at the moment was quite brilliant. Right? You thought me a fool."
Magnus was now positively tensed up
"I did no...."
But Snape cut him off like a whip.
"I'll have you know nothing escapes my attention... While your Pokemon did its mediocre tricks, you took the chance to steal one vial. "
Magnus realized Snape did not know.
He was phrasing it purposefully as a statement instead of a question, just to confirm his theory. He wasn't sure, if he was... I mean if he had seen it, why had he not stopped him?"
"I don't know what you're talking, Professor.I did not steal...."
"Liar!" The man hissed as if Magnus had slapped him in the face.
For a while there, his face darkened and for a moment Magnus thought he would strangle him.
"Have I not warned you against lying to me?... You took that vial. I count every one of my potions. And that vial disappeared that night. Immediately after, I dismissed you. And now, I know why you did it. It must have been Miss Granger's Pokemon.
Now that got him off guard but he did his best to stay calm.
The git seemed to know too much. Still, he would not admit it.
To admit anything to Snape would be sealing a torturous future in Hogwart and in every potion lesson. He would rather have him live with it as a hunch than a solid reality.
"You must have noticed that her Pokemon was suffering from both exhaustion and dehydration out of constantly electrocuting itself. And So you wanted to score some points with Mrs. Granger. For what reason? On this I cannot perceive. Snape said sarcastically."
Magnus did not dare look up.
" You have now crossed me twice." Snape said after letting the silence stretch
" Did I not warn you that your insolence will get you suspended ?"
'no you warned me you would get me suspended you git"
He looked up only a fraction of a second, but it was enough for him to catch the murderous glint in the man' s eyes... Like he had heard his insults
But Snape went on
"you have decided that You are now a big deal... The expert in Pokémon wellbeing... Clearly, you and Potter are now fighting for the celebrity spot within the school. What other secrets are you hiding?"
It was at that moment that Magnus realized he had been falling and He had fallen exactly where Snape wanted.
Calm and concentrated.
Snape hadn't been asking. He had been refreshing his memory and in so doing triggering those event.
He did not need his confirmation because the motherfucker was reading directly from his mind
Fucking leglismen.
"I suppose that is the same thing you are doing with Hagrid. He must have snuck an illegal egg that has hatched into a dangerous Pokemon. And now no doubt, the stupid man thinks you are an authority on Pokemons... Perhaps you think that as well"
Magnus knew this was too far gone. Snape was now probing into his thoughts about Hagrid, now that he had established the vial incidents was true .

Snape's eyes glinted maliciously, he fixed his glare on Magnus, and at that moment Magnus knew that Snape knew he had realised he was reading his mind.
