Chapter 7 - Divine Machine

The battlefield fell into silence.

Athena's true form—her towering machine god body, like a colossal warship—hovered above Atlantis, her divine circuits humming with unimaginable power.

Her terminal projection, the humanoid body standing before Allen, remained calm, unreadable.

And yet—

Even in the presence of a Divine Machine, Allen stood relaxed.

Unbothered.

Almost amused.

Aphrodite, her red hair flowing in the wind, smiled faintly.

"Ufufu~ A rare sight. Athena hardly ever shows her true form to a human."

"Hey… your name's Raviel, right? Is your husband the 5th Magician? When Athena attacked him, it looked like his body shifted in an instant."

"Yeah… you could say Allen is a user of all the magics—from the 1st to the 5th."

"What?"

They were stunned.

For someone to use all five True Magics was something even gods couldn't dream of matching.

Hera's gaze never left Allen.

Unlike the others who watched for sport, she studied him seriously.

Allen lazily stretched his neck and arms.

"So, let me get this straight…" he muttered.

"I'm not just fighting you—" he pointed at Athena's humanoid body, "—but also that massive warship hanging above us?"

Athena's gray eyes flashed.

"That depends."

Suddenly, a surge of energy exploded from her terminal form, shaking the ground beneath them.

The Olympian constructs watching the duel quickly adjusted their systems to balance the divine energy spike.

"This will be a test—whether a magician like you is strong enough to face a god… or collapse as just a man."

Allen grinned.

"You sound pretty confident."

Then his body released a surge of prana so immense, the arena around him began to crack.

"What an incredible amount of prana… is that the 3rd Magic?" asked Aphrodite, glancing at Raviel.

Raviel simply nodded.

Athena narrowed her focus.

Rather than waiting—

She attacked first.

Her terminal vanished.

In an instant, golden light streaked toward Allen at blinding speed—not just from her humanoid form, but also from the warship in the sky.

A rain of divine lasers descended from above, each beam powerful enough to erase mountains.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Explosions shook the battlefield, sending waves of dust and smoke into the air.

All of Atlantis trembled.

Aphrodite let out a dramatic sigh.

"Well, I suppose that's the end of him~"

But Hera stayed silent.

The dust began to settle.

The ground was destroyed—melted, shattered.

And yet—

Allen was still standing.

Unscathed.

Unharmed.

Utterly untouched.

His golden eyes glowed faintly as he lazily brushed imaginary dust from his shoulder.

"That all you got?"

Athena's expression didn't change.

But in that moment of stillness—something shifted.

Her warship roared.

The air twisted as divine engines powered up.

Olympian light gathered into massive pillars, forming a golden spear in Athena's hand—an extension of her warship's full might.

Aphrodite blinked.

"Oh? You're already bringing that out?"

Hera's eyes narrowed.

"She intends to end this quickly."

Athena pointed her spear at Allen.

And then—

Time seemed to slow.

The sky darkened.

The battlefield distorted.

Allen felt causality itself bending around him.

The spear wasn't just a weapon.

It was a concept.

A divine authority that forced victory.

"Pallas Breaker."

Once its name was spoken—

The world split.

A flash of gold pierced reality itself, twisting fate to ensure the strike would always hit.

It could not be dodged.

Could not be blocked.

Could not be outrun.

A strike of annihilation.

A blow to end all wars.

This should've been the end.

But instead—

Allen grinned.

He raised a single finger—

And stopped the spear.

Easily.

The battlefield was silent.

Aphrodite's playful smile vanished.

Hera's expression hardened.

Even Athena—the ever-calm goddess of war—felt her divine circuits tremble.

"...Impossible."

Allen tilted his head. "Is it?"

The golden spear—meant to destroy gods and erase all chance of escape—was frozen at his fingertip, unmoving.

Allen's eyes glowed.

Then—

He flicked it away.

CRACK!

A massive shockwave split the sky in an instant.

The air screamed, and the warship's divine systems flared red, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Athena's spear shattered.

Her divine weapon—broken.

Silence fell over Atlantis.

Then Allen smiled.

"Well," he said, slipping his hands into his pockets,

"Guess that means I win."

Athena stood frozen.

Not in fear—

But disbelief.

For the first time in her life—

She had lost.

Tense silence filled the air.

Her warship—her true body—still hovered in the sky, its circuits struggling to understand the defeat.

Her terminal avatar clenched her fists.

She lost.

And more than that— Her ultimate attack, her guaranteed-win weapon, had been casually rejected.

This wasn't just a loss.

It was total domination.

Allen casually stretched.

"Well, that was fun." He grinned, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Wanna go another round?"

Athena remained silent.

Still.

Speechless.

Hera, who had observed everything with solemn focus, finally exhaled. "To destroy Athena's divine weapon like that… You really are magician."

Aphrodite, her red hair shimmering in the breeze, placed a hand on her hip.

"Ufufu~ I knew you were strong, but this far exceeded my expectations and I just found out that you're a wielder of all five magics simultaneously."

She stepped forward, her red eyes gleaming with renewed curiosity. "I must admit, Allen~ you're quite… irresistible."

Allen grinned.

"Oh? Falling for me already?"

Aphrodite giggled.

"Who knows~?"

....

After the fight Allen was accompanied by the goddesses to find a place to stay..

Hera wasted no time in making arrangements. After a brief but firm conversation with the local authorities, she secured a villa near the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The place was grand yet secluded—fitting for someone of Allen's status, even if the Olympians still weren't entirely sure what he was.

As they arrived, Hera gestured toward the entrance. "This should be sufficient."

Allen stepped inside, glancing around with an approving nod. The villa had an open design, with wide archways leading to a spacious courtyard filled with exotic plants. The sound of waves crashing against the cliffs echoed in the background, adding to the atmosphere.

"Not bad," Allen mused. "Almost feels like a vacation spot."

Aphrodite leaned against a nearby pillar, her red eyes glimmering with amusement. "Then I'll consider myself invited."

Hera's expression hardened. "Aphrodite—"

"Oh, don't be so stiff, Hera~" Aphrodite interrupted, winking at Allen. "It'd be a shame for him to stay here alone."

Allen smirked. "I don't mind the company."

Athena, standing with arms crossed, frowned slightly. "This is supposed to be a temporary arrangement, not an estate for hosting guests."

Aphrodite giggled. "Oh, but Athena~ You sound interested. Do you want to stay, too?"

Athena's eyes narrowed. "That is not—"

"Fufu~ No need to be shy~"

Hera pinched the bridge of her nose. "This is ridiculous."

Allen laughed. "You're all acting like I'm some rare artifact to be fought over."

Aphrodite smirked. "Well, aren't you?"

Hera's lips parted slightly as if she wanted to refute the claim—but she didn't. Instead, she turned toward Allen, her voice more controlled. "Do what you want. But don't cause problems." With that, she turned and walked away, her posture rigid.

Allen watched her go, amused. "She's jealous."

Athena sighed. "Hera does not get jealous. She is simply… cautious."

Allen grinned. "Whatever you say."

Aphrodite hummed. "Mmm~ This is so much fun."

The villa was anything but quiet that evening.

Despite Hera's insistence that this was meant to be a temporary arrangement, Allen's residence was quickly becoming the center of Olympian drama. Aphrodite had made herself comfortable, Tiamat naturally stayed by Allen's side, and Raviel—well, she would never let herself be far from him.

The only thing missing was Athena.

Allen leaned against the balcony, watching the moon shine over the city. The breeze was cool, carrying the distant hum of machine activity from the lower districts. He could hear the faint murmur of conversation inside—Aphrodite teasing Tiamat about something, Raviel likely instigating as usual.

Then, soft footsteps.

He didn't turn. He already knew who it was.

Athena stepped beside him, her gray eyes reflecting the city lights. "This arrangement is becoming chaotic."

Allen smirked. "Is that your way of saying you're staying too?"

She exhaled. "I did not say that."

"You didn't deny it."

Athena frowned slightly, but there was no true irritation in her expression. "I came to observe."

Allen tilted his head, amused. "Observe what, exactly?"

"You." Athena's eyes met his, unwavering. "You are an anomaly. The others might be acting on impulse, but I intend to understand why."

Allen chuckled. "So, I'm a puzzle?"

Athena didn't answer immediately. She simply studied him in silence, as if trying to decipher something hidden beneath his smirk. "Perhaps."

Before Allen could respond, a voice called from inside.

"Oh my~ Is Athena finally joining us?" Aphrodite's teasing tone carried through the open space.

Athena sighed, rubbing her temple. "I should have expected this."

Allen laughed. "You're making it too easy for her."

Athena shot him a sharp look. "You are the cause of this."

He grinned. "And yet, you're still here."

"well we still have plenty of room for guests"

Athena hesitated for a fraction of a second before turning away. "Don't expect me to stay long."

Allen watched her retreat, that amused.

He already knew.

She would be staying.

After that, Tiamat took Athena to the room that had been arranged for guests in the villa.
