Questions were rising like a tide, and they were not only about Ash. Ray's sudden surge in power, his strange breakthrough to the next rank, and the fact that he could withstand the kind of raw force Ash unleashed left them speechless. It was hard to accept that someone could endure attacks that looked strong enough to crush bones with a single blow.
Nothing was making sense.
