[Maybe a surprise—No, my wife! I didn't say anything!] He panicked as he realized that Primrose had read his mind.
On the other hand, Primrose let out a small laugh because her husband's thoughts managed to comfort her when her mind had been filled with unpleasant things since yesterday.
"You don't have to give me anything," Primrose said with a gentle smile. "You've already done enough, my husband. When all of this is over, the only thing I want is to sleep well in our soft bed."
