At least three hours would be required for the people at the base to prepare. Sending five thousand soldiers this time could be a very risky move due to the division of power between bases!
This was something Jason had been analyzing ever since he arrived in this city, and something no one else had been seeing. Jason's vision and the way he sees things are ten levels above what might happen, and that makes him a powerful leader capable of standing on equal footing with the strongest forces in this world.
First of all, it must be considered that at this moment there are at least 50,000 people who belong to the S.C.T. organization, and that is only thanks to Alabama having been taken over in recent weeks.
Now then, considering that within those 50,000 survivors a little more than 25,000 are soldiers with real training, within that enormous force there were about 10,000 more in reserve considering the military police and the cadets who are still receiving training, giving a total of 35,000 survivors with fighting capability.
But not all of them are soldiers, since a great deal of manpower is needed to clean cities, work at surveillance posts, logistics, armories, factories, maintenance, security, guards, among many other things. So possibly there would be a little more than 20,000 active soldiers who can be deployed in all areas as long as their main work is not active.
Right now in Alabama there are a little more than 10,000 soldiers, eliminating walkers, clearing entire areas to avoid internal infections or plagues, and from rescuing new survivors to eliminating dangerous groups.
If right now Jason mobilizes 5,000 troops and they force their way into South Carolina without a plan, many things could become complicated.
Everything was simple if thought of in the following way: There are numerous military bases in Atlanta, and not to mention Georgia, there are numerous checkpoints where the organization's strength is distributed in an orderly manner. If right now Luke mobilizes another 5,000 troops, he will greatly weaken the strength his organization has.
It must be taken into account that Jason was expecting some kind of attack or visit from the CRM. Although the entire area they have is protected by anti-air defenses, high-powered turrets, and fighter planes, a considerable part of their force would enter an area that they do not control at all.
If those 5,000 troops are thought of as a small ship that suddenly enters the Black Sea, to a specific central point without taking into account everything around it, it will find itself surrounded by unknown forces.
Unlike Alabama, where a very well-coordinated air and ground attack was planned, for South Carolina there was nothing planned beyond the main idea: to repel the organizations in this place and partially take control of South Carolina.
But the problem would be that they do not know what exists in other places, and that would lead to arduous work on the part of the organization. From the moment Jason gave the order, he had been thinking about the best countermeasures.
However, all of this would be resolved if they took a strong point in the beavers' community, which is why it was important to first reach that place and immediately take them in as part of their own people. After all, everyone was human.
"I already have an idea!"
...
In the car, Manny was full of curiosity regarding Jason mentioning Texas. Ever since the end of the world began, his brother had served there as a soldier and he never heard from him again. Therefore, he was truly intrigued.
"What were you doing in Texas? That's a very faraway place..." Manny finally broke the silence.
Jason, who had been silent, opened his eyes and said, "Well, I went to save someone, and in the process I also saved the world..."
"Sometimes I don't know if it's sarcasm or if you're always telling the truth..." Joel interrupted what Manny was about to say.
"Hahaha, I've never lied..." Jason laughed sincerely and said, "A madman I killed wanted to destroy all remaining life to supposedly preserve new life, something like a rebirth."
"And how was he supposedly going to do that?" Manny was truly bewildered.
"Nuclear bombs!"
"Yuck!"
"Hahaha, that story made the hair on my neck stand up..." A burst of laughter was heard, and the driver couldn't help but mock him.
Jason closed his mouth, smiled modestly, and only said, "Well, I wouldn't believe it was a nice story..."
Manny looked at Jason through the mirror and immediately thought, "He's not lying!"
He couldn't say it with certainty, but he felt a sinister premonition about Jason that he couldn't understand. What could an unarmed man do?
By the time they arrived, Jason and Joel were taken out and escorted into a large stadium. Under Joel's watchful gaze and Jason's indifferent one, both were taken inside and soon reached a corridor where there were two burly men.
Previously, Manny had contacted Merlene, who had authorized that Jason be taken directly to her as soon as they arrived.
"Tell Merlene that we're here!"
"You may enter..."
Jason calmly entered the room and soon was able to see a dark-skinned woman who was smoking at the moment. Her gaze immediately met Jason's and she said, "How stupidly arrogant do you have to be to think you could leave this place alive after your people murdered more than forty of mine? Are you stupid or an idiot?"
Jason smiled and said, "Believe me, it would be a great mistake to think that just because you missed the Lion, he still can't roar."
Merlene's eyes blinked, she looked Jason up and down, and just as she was about to ask something, a voice came from outside: "Joel!"
"Tommy!" Joel shouted his brother's name almost instantly.
Jason watched this scene in silence. Right now he was inside the Fireflies' base, so his plan was about to begin.
"This is fun!"
