Chapter 379 - Combat

"Shit!"

Seeing that his face had been injured, it wasn't too serious as he thought, but it was enough for him to lose his weapon, so Jack couldn't help but curse, wondering why there were snipers in this kind of place—wasn't that ridiculous?

After that thought quickly passed through his mind, he didn't have time to think about anything else and swiftly found a place to hide.

Boom!

There was another shot, and just as Jack hid himself, the bullet struck exactly where he had been moments before.

"I'll take care of him!"

Emma, who had just been fighting some rebels, also heard the sound of a sniper rifle. Seeing the front of the car where Jack was pinned down, she shouted loudly and ran toward the sniper's direction, drawing the opponent's attention as she moved.

Sure enough, when she shouted and moved, the sniper noticed her as well and slowly turned his weapon to face the enemy approaching first.

Hearing the gunfire continuing from the other side, Jack felt a large number of rebels rapidly moving toward the entrance and dashed out.

The number of enemies was truly too large. Before knowing when the others would arrive, the two of them alone couldn't fight that person with weapons.

Ignoring the rebels who had entered earlier, Jack did his best to dodge the roaring bullets and ran toward the door.

When he reached the door, he saw the rebels entering from the end, then closed the iron door.

Then, a blunt rifle was inserted horizontally in the middle of the door, and afterward a heavy object beside it was dragged over to block the door.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The rebels who were desperately rushing forward saw someone closing the door, and they all raised their rifles and fired, trying to stop that person from sealing it.

The bullets struck the iron door, producing a crunching sound and spraying countless sparks, but it didn't affect the person on the other side of the door in the slightest.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After completely sealing the door, Jack let out a sigh of relief when he saw that the door remained unmoved despite the violent impacts.

After blocking a large number of rebels outside, he could devote all his energy to dealing with the rebels and the sniper inside the factory.

Hearing the sound of footsteps rapidly approaching, Jack looked at his empty hand, immediately held his breath, and quickly hid.

By the time the few remaining rebels inside the factory arrived, he was already gone.

"Damn it!"

Just as Jack hid, he heard a near-roaring curse, and then the voice sounded again.

"You two, go and remove everything blocking the door and let the others in!"

Raising his head silently, Jack saw six armed rebels standing not far from the door, and the leader was the black man who had taken command earlier.

After receiving the order, two of the rebels quickly ran toward the door, intending to cooperate with the people on the other side to open it.

Watching the two men closely, Jack knew they couldn't be allowed to open the door.

He slowly took out his pistol. His pistol had six bullets—if he could kill everyone with a single shot each, the battle could be resolved quickly.

But doing so carried great risk. He was a little tired now; if he changed his mind at this moment, the shots could miss, and that would be his end.

The enemies were not lifeless objects. They wouldn't just stand there and obediently let themselves be shot. They would also move and evade his attacks, and this uncertainty greatly increased the difficulty of shooting.

At that moment, Jack recalled the videos of confrontations he had seen. Those people were decisive, accurate, and had no hesitation in their eyes when facing enemies.

To be honest, this skill really made him envious, but unfortunately he could say that he wasn't that brave; otherwise, this would be like a fight between these few people and a devil in battle.

However, now he had no choice and too much to lose, and he had never been someone who gave up. He picked up a red brick scattered in the corner and threw it directly toward the other side of the door. Immediately after, energy surged through his feet, and he rushed out of hiding.

Crack!

The flying red brick was thrown with force, cut quickly through the air, slammed hard into the ground, and the noise echoed throughout the empty factory building.

This sound immediately drew the attention of all the rebels, and they instinctively turned their heads to look over there, completely ignoring the figure rushing out from the side.

But when they found the shattered bricks on the ground, they suddenly realized that the enemy was attacking from the direction the brick had come from—but it was already too late.

Bang! Bang!

Charging out of hiding, Jack fired two shots at the two rebels heading toward the door. The bullets accurately pierced their heads, and both died on the spot.

Then he moved his weapon toward the four rebels on the other side, rushed toward them, and continued firing.

Jack could clearly feel that the energy in his body was rapidly draining, and if he didn't make a quick decision, he might not last much longer.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

He fired four more shots in succession, emptying all the bullets from the pistol. The bullets slid through the barrel and flew out, rapidly striking the vital parts of the four people.

"Ah!"

Accompanied by the sound of bullets piercing flesh and blood, three of the rebels let out a scream before dying and then fell to the ground.

But the burly black man reacted extremely quickly, making evasive movements in advance, dodging the incoming bullets and avoiding injury.

At the same time, after evading the surprise attack, he deftly turned around, swung the barrel of the weapon behind him, and tried to shoot the man who had attacked them in secret.

But when the black man turned around, a lump of black object appeared in front of his eyes and struck him in the face.

"Shit!"

When he saw something about to hit him, the black man immediately recognized that it was just a pistol.

He didn't think about dodging at all; he merely narrowed his eyes slightly, intending to continue pulling the trigger.

But when the pistol actually hit him in the face, he realized he was completely wrong.

The man seemed to have taken a heavy punch; his head snapped back and his body staggered two steps backward uncontrollably.

When he cursed loudly and wanted to keep fighting, he discovered that the figure on the opposite side was already very close.

"Ah!"

The black man's pupils suddenly contracted, and instinctively, his fingers tightened on the trigger.

But before he could pull it, Jack rushed in front of the black man, reached out to grab the barrel of the weapon, and forcefully lifted it upward.

Bang! Bang!

The bullets violently flew toward the ceiling of the factory building. Jack grabbed the other end of the rifle with his other hand and was about to yank the weapon away.

Naturally, the black man refused and did everything he could to pull back.

Unexpectedly, the opponent required so much strength… Seeing the stalemate, Jack released the hand holding the weapon and punched the opponent.

Seeing this, the black man naturally and quickly freed one hand to block.

Seizing this opportunity, Jack turned around, lifted his leg, and kicked the opponent in the stomach. At the same time, his other hand holding the weapon took advantage of the situation.

The burly black man staggered back in panic, dodging the kick, but he couldn't keep hold of the hand gripping the weapon, so he had no choice but to let go.

But he also understood that he couldn't allow the other party to obtain the weapon, so he simply raised his leg and kicked the rifle with all his strength.

After all, leg strength is stronger than arm strength. This sudden force made Jack unable to hold onto the weapon, and the rifle was sent flying several meters away.

Shaking his slightly numb hands and feeling the exhaustion in his body, he couldn't help but feel a bit regretful.

If he had been stronger, he definitely could have held the weapon in his hands, and the battle would have ended that way.

But many things don't happen the way one wants. Jack realized that the actions just now had greatly changed the positions of the two. He was already at some distance from the bodies of the three rebels and the weapons beside them.

Although he was still relatively close, he knew the other party wouldn't allow him the chance to pick up any firearms.

The black man naturally noticed this as well. With a sinister smile on his face, he grabbed his worn shirt with both hands and tore it apart with a violent pull, revealing the muscular physique beneath.

Then he reached behind his waist, drew the machete that had been strapped there, pointed the sharp blade at Jack, and slowly said, "I was at a disadvantage just now—now let's start again!"

"Hoo…"

Knowing that a head-on confrontation might be inevitable, although Jack really wanted to escape from here as soon as possible, he first had to deal with the problems in front of him.

Drawing the bloodstained dagger, he also slowly took an offensive stance. "You don't know it, but my suit is specially made for the commander, damn idiot."
