Chapter 370 - The Real Jason

In the beginning, both at the start and along the way, Jason's small group had more and more people joining. Even leaving aside the detailed investigation he used to do before, how can one easily understand human nature with simple questionnaires and a device that can be fooled by special people?

During this time, Jason was aware that there must be a group of people who didn't share his same opinion. If there were only a few dozen people at the base, it would be very easy to find these individuals, but in an organization that had grown to thousands, this problem becomes difficult and can be dealt with in unpredictable ways.

If you openly purge one, the others will be more cautious. If you purge three, no one else will appear. So, how can you eliminate these cancers once and for all?

Jason made a gesture, and the masked man who had made everyone hate him earlier stepped onto the stage and removed his mask before the curious eyes of all.

A big man, one of the most interested and committed in being part of the Red Force.

Oscar!

That's right, Oscar was an infiltrator who slowly gathered people who had dangerous ideas against Jason.

The rest of the dozen rebels also removed their masks one after another. They were all people who didn't have a strong sense of presence in the base, but Jason was able to rely on the advantage of foresight to determine the loyalty of these individuals.

When beginning to make the plan, Jason thought carefully and finally chose Oscar because he was the most suitable to be his spy. First of all, he's not talkative, and the others don't know much about him. He's simply a dangerous person. Although Jason had investigated the background of his case at the beginning, it wasn't made public and only a few people in charge knew his details.

With this background, the next step was acting. Here Jason had to say that this big guy is a damn high-level actor; no wonder everyone trusted him.

Next, with open ideas shared in public so that everyone could understand what Oscar thought of Jason, the mice appeared one after another, forming a rebel group that intended to cause harm.

After Jason returned, upon receiving Tyler's report, Rick transferred these people to positions that benefited them more in order to carry out their objectives.

But the most important part of all this was the food that was served; that bad taste came from the sedative. This item had been assigned to Oscar a long time ago, and this time it was the most important.

How do you make a lie become truth? Seven parts true and three parts false. How do you create a meticulous plan? It's actually very simple: you must always pay attention to the details.

If what Jason was looking for was that everyone believed him, a great part of this plan had to be true; with that, there would be no doubts even among the most observant people.

Then, a few scenes that seemed very real were mixed in, making these people even more convinced that they were in control.

For example, Glenn, who was supposedly shot by Negan, had a prepared vest, and although the bullet hit the vest, half of what happened was fake.

As for Maggie, of course she also acted. With Oscar controlling the field, the danger could be minimized, and with some other rebels who were infiltrators, everything was so believable that it could easily have been true.

Then, under the catalyst of various events, those traitors among the crowd were finally tempted by the smell of gold, so when Negan was stirring up everyone's hearts, many of those who had not been identified and wanted to betray the base or seek new benefits by stepping over Jason's trust and morale jumped like frogs.

But then comes a new point that is real, and that is the scene of the women being chosen by those men. Those girls really thought they were going to be violated. No acting skills were necessary at all, since they would naturally resist.

They were not extremely terrified; however, as soon as they were taken to the backyard, they would be under the control of the two agents and Maggie, who had already been taken to the back.

However, Jason still considered an unexpected situation, so shortly after the women were taken away, Shane and the others appeared, and to resolve this Tyler took action.

With this, Oscar was able to mobilize most of the people who were most dangerous to that place so they could then be neutralized, since their weapons did not actually have real ammunition.

In the end, when they appeared, Jason had already dug up the onions that could cause him trouble in the future and reminded everyone that this is the outside world, so they must prepare and appreciate everything they have.

Everyone in the audience was stunned after listening to the narration, and everyone was astonished by this enormous and well-thought-out plan that spanned several months.

Except for Tyler and his group who followed Jason, everyone had calm expressions on their faces as if these meticulously planned strategies were normal.

"Don't talk about that, everyone. We still have an important matter that hasn't been resolved. When everyone calms down, we'll talk about that matter."

After he finished speaking, he looked at Daryl at his side. This matter—and together with the Red Force soldiers—they all pushed the deserters forward.

There were fifty-seven traitors in total, and fifteen of them were still wearing masks. Daryl stepped forward and removed the hoods from these people one by one.

Familiar faces appeared before everyone's eyes, and many people exclaimed. They all knew these individuals; they were "acquaintances" often seen throughout the week.

But it was these unimportant people who had almost overturned the base that everyone had worked so hard to build.

Their gazes toward these people had become extremely hostile, but for now, no one made any outrageous moves; only a few girls who were closest stepped forward and slapped them several times.

These individuals were quickly taken to the front yard and guarded by a dozen heavily armed team members.

"So let's discuss how to deal with these people next. I really want to hear your words because I'm interested."

After a brief pause, Jason looked around at everyone, each with different expressions on their faces.

"How about this? Those who accept exile stand to the left, those who accept imprisonment stand to the right, and those who accept being killed stand behind. There's a five-minute time limit. Let's start voting."

After thinking, Jason decided not to ask for votes and instead have everyone vote directly, so he could roughly distinguish everyone's thoughts. Although the final outcome of these people had long been condemned, some superficial work was still necessary to put doubts to rest.

Soon, the people present scattered in all directions. As time ran out, only a few people remained in the center of the field, the rest having already made their decisions.

Dale, Jesus, and Glenn, who were still hesitant, remained in the center. Before Jason could speak, Dale sighed first, pointed to the crowd behind him, and asked:

"Are you serious? Do you want to kill all of these people?"

Now, the voting in the field was very obvious. There were only about 2,000 people on the left and right sides, and the rest stood behind. Almost all the members of the Washington group stood there.

"Dale, Jesus, I know you don't like to see people die, but this is what the people want and you see it with your own eyes."

Dale still didn't want to give up, just like in the original drama on Hershel's farm; he simply wanted to deal with this in the simplest way possible.

But this time he was no longer facing the indecisive Rick.

"Is using the cruelest means the only option?"

"Dale, Jesus, I know you're very kind, you don't want these people to die, but have you ever thought about how dangerous it'll be if we let them go?"

"We can imprison them! Give them a chance to reform, because we're still human, aren't we?"

Hearing this, Jason walked toward everyone present. His voice wasn't loud, but it reached the ears of everyone there.

"I remember a phrase I said a long time ago: I can accept someone being dissatisfied with me, but everyone who endangers the members of my organization will face my cruelest revenge."

"Every son of a bitch who wants to destroy what I have built, what we have built, what the dead have protected, will receive the cruelest revenge in life!"
