Chapter 367 - What Is the Choice?

"Ahhh! Glenn!!"

Maggie stood up and ran to Glenn's side after letting out a heartbreaking scream and trying to stop the bleeding, but when she realized he wasn't reacting, she stood up and ran toward the masked man, but she was stopped by two men at the side holding her tightly from both sides.

"I'm going to kill you! Ahhh!"

Even though she was restrained, Maggie continued fighting with tooth and nail. One of the rebels couldn't hold back and shot directly at the back of her head, and due to the stun she didn't make any further movement.

The masked man smiled and gave a signal to his men with a mocking grin: "You've done a great job, this woman will be yours."

"Thank you boss! Hehehe!"

The two dragged Maggie directly and walked to the side, but they didn't leave in a hurry for the moment. Instead, they tied her up and put her in the corner.

And taking advantage of the moment when everyone's attention was attracted, Jason was the only one who suddenly stood up from the ground, and the rope that originally tied his body had been cut.

But being only one, and with the weakness from being sedated, Jason was knocked to the ground. The rebels at the side reacted quickly and restrained the commander in no time.

But Jason, who was on the ground, shouted with a sinister smile: "Listen well, there is no need for you to do anything, the people with the right abilities will take care of this problem."

Boom!

But the rebel soldier at the side seemed very angry and nervous, and he kicked Jason again and again.

The masked man looked at Jason with a half-smile, stepped on Glenn's body with one foot and his tone became more self-satisfied: "Do you see? Commander, your leadership is wavering. Why are you causing an uproar and putting everyone in danger?"

"Listen to me, you still have a chance to drop your weapons, that way you won't die horribly." Jason said with an indifferent look.

The rest of the people remained motionless. As Jason's loyal followers, none of them would move, and if things couldn't be solved now, they would all act against their enemies. It could be said that none of these people would betray their friends, but there are always exceptions.

Soon someone raised their hand, and a man slowly stood up and said with some hesitation: "I—I'll join you!"

Jesus looked at the man with eyes wide open and couldn't help but shout.

"Andy! What are you doing?"

The man called Andy was a guard at Hilltop, and then he looked at Jesus with innocence and opened his hands.

"Jesus, I'm sorry, you should surrender too. There's no need for us to suffer with them, right?"

What more could be said? But Nathan, beside Jesus, looked at Andy with bitterness. His life had been saved by Jason. Without him, he would have been infected by a walker and turned into one. At this moment, he would rather become a slave than betray his companion.

But many people can't endure the test. If there is one, there will be two. After Andy stood up, many others stood up as well.

The exclamations of the leaders of the survivors also echoed through the square.

"Adrian! Ramiro! Get back here, both of you!"

These two were from Alexandria.

"Mario! What are you doing?"

This was the guy from Arturo's group.

The same scene repeated one after another. In almost every group that now formed part of Jason's organization, there were some people who stood up, and only a few teams had no one stand up.

The masked man laughed and walked in front of these people.

"Well, yes, forty-two people! Congratulations, you will become the nobles of this base in the future!"

These people were obviously surprised, and then they all showed ecstatic expressions.

"Thank you boss! Hahaha!"

Forty-two people nodded and bowed to the masked man, and then listened to their new leader.

"Well, not bad! To congratulate you, I'll let you choose a woman at random among these people!"

"Wooo!"

Immediately, the masked man nodded at the person beside him and saw that this person took out a small bottle of medicine and said: "This is the antidote that will keep your body from feeling numb, take it quickly."

The people couldn't wait to swallow the medicine, and then finished it with a glass of water handed to them by a rebel, each taking a few sips in turn, and they really felt a bit better.

They couldn't wait to rush into the crowd. Some others looked at women they had once desired, full of silent fights.

Bang! Bang!

"Shut your damn mouths, if you don't choose quietly then don't do it, stop being so loud and annoying!"

"Yes boss."

The few who were making a lot of noise quickly changed their target in desperation.

There was a sudden commotion in the square, the obscene laughter of men, the screams of women, and the curses of survivors mixing together.

But these resisting people were not men who could face a firearm, and those men quickly pulled some people out of the crowd.

Many people watched this scene in horror, extremely angry, but they also understood that now was not the time to act. As long as they endured and managed to feel their bodies less numb, they would all attack together regardless of losses.

The masked man waved to the two rebels who were beside the wall.

"You two take them to the back, and wait."

"Yes boss!"

The two looked at each other, lifted Maggie who was still unconscious and walked toward the backyard, followed by a group of men whose minds were full of unknown thoughts and a group of desperate women.

Seeing that the scene finally calmed down and the masked man finally stopped being irritable, he shouted to the others: "Are you sure you don't want to join us?"

After waiting a while and seeing that no one responded, the masked man ignored the angry looks of the people and said to his subordinates.

"Very well, restrain these people in batches and take them to the isolation rooms."

"Yes boss."

But at that moment, a voice suddenly came from afar.

"Boss, those people who went out to transport plumbing and construction materials are back."

The masked man didn't react much, he only swept his gaze over the people who were his followers: "Welcome them, remember not to wear masks!"

"Yes sir!"

Jason, who was silently kneeling, closed his eyes and waited slowly. His gaze did not show fear, anguish or resentment. There was nothing on Jason's face that could express what he felt, but in the last second a small smile formed on his cheeks.

...

It is unknown how many rebel soldiers the group that betrayed the base has, but soon more than a dozen people were in the field running directly toward the gate.

Shane and Abraham had taken the group on a trip to the Georgia base early in the morning and brought back a large amount of water pipes and heating radiators.

There were many guards on the third wall, but none of them were really doing anything. As soon as they entered the gate, more than a dozen people came in for inspection.

"It's so troublesome to take off our clothes all the time!"

Abraham quickly took off his clothes and complained, while Shane beside him smiled slightly.

"If you don't want walkers to suddenly show up in the base, don't complain. This measure protects the safety of thousands of people throughout the base."

"Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm taking this off!"

Boom!

The door suddenly opened, and a group of more than a dozen heavily armed soldiers appeared in front of the gate, pointing their weapons at all of them.

"Hey, hey! I wasn't bitten, so relax!"

"Get out!"

A dozen strong men wearing nothing but underwear walked out of the room, and before they realized what was happening, they saw a scene at the gate that shocked them!

"Holy shit!"
