Chapter 498 - Chapter 498: The Wedding Banquet Is Over and Farewell

The early morning sun bathed the entire Hidden Leaf Village in golden light. The rays filtered through the Hokage Mountain, shining softly over every street and rooftop.

"Naruto! Naruto! Wake up! We have to go see Gaara and the others off!"

Hinata's gentle voice echoed in the quiet morning air.

Naruto stirred beneath the sheets, his golden hair messy, his eyes half-open. Blinking a few times, he squinted at the familiar face before him.

"Hinata?"

Hinata giggled softly. "It's me! What's wrong? Come on, sleepyhead, get up!"

She helped Naruto sit up. Still half-asleep, Naruto stretched his arms wide and yawned, scratching the back of his head. Hinata walked to the window and pulled open the curtains — sunlight poured into the room, warming the space.

Naruto turned to look at Hinata, the morning light illuminating her soft lavender eyes and gentle smile. His heart swelled with warmth.

"Hinata..." he murmured.

Hinata blinked curiously. "What is it?"

Without another word, Naruto walked over and wrapped his arms around her. Resting his head on her shoulder, he whispered, "I just wanted to hold you."

Hinata blushed, smiling softly as she hugged him back. She patted his back gently and said with mock annoyance, "You're still trying to be lazy with me? Go wash up! Your parents have already prepared breakfast!"

"Just five more minutes..." Naruto mumbled against her shoulder, refusing to move.

"Naruto!" Hinata puffed her cheeks and gently pushed him away, finally shoving him toward the bathroom. "Go!"

Laughing, Naruto allowed himself to be pushed inside.

After washing up, Naruto stepped out of the bathroom, toweling his hair. In the living room, Minato and Kushina were already seated on the sofa.

"Morning, Naruto," Minato said with a warm smile.

Kushina stood, hands on her hips. "You finally woke up, huh? Took you long enough!"

Naruto scratched his head sheepishly. "Hehe… morning, Mom, Dad."

Kushina chuckled and went to the kitchen. "Breakfast is ready! Sit down, both of you."

Naruto and Hinata sat at the dining table, the aroma of miso soup and grilled fish filling the room. Minato and Kushina watched them eat with quiet smiles — the simple joy of seeing their son happy again after all those years was something they cherished deeply.

After Naruto finished eating, Minato leaned forward slightly.

"Naruto, we'll be going to the village gate soon to see off the Four Kage and the Daimyōs. Kakashi already sent word through the Anbu this morning."

Naruto nodded, wiping his mouth. "Got it. I'm done eating anyway, let's head out."

Hinata stood up to help Kushina clean the dishes, but Kushina waved her off immediately.

"Oh no, no, no! Not today! It's your first morning as a newlywed — you don't lift a finger in this house yet! Go on, get ready!"

Hinata smiled softly and stepped back. "Thank you, Mother."

Minato gathered the trash and helped tidy up while Kushina washed the dishes at lightning speed. Within minutes, the four of them — Naruto, Hinata, Minato, and Kushina — were ready to leave the house.

As they walked down Konoha's main street, morning vendors were setting up their stalls, and villagers waved as the newlyweds passed by.

Up ahead, two familiar figures appeared — Jiraiya and Tsunade.

"Pervy Sage! Granny Tsunade!" Naruto called, grinning wide.

Hinata bowed politely. "Good morning, Jiraiya-sama, Tsunade-sama!"

Minato and Kushina also offered warm greetings.

Jiraiya smirked mischievously. "Naruto, how was last night? You know they say a single night in spring is worth a thousand pieces of gold... you—"

Before he could finish, Tsunade's fist came crashing down on his head.

"Watch your mouth in front of the kids, you old fool!"

"Ow! Tsunade! That hurt!" Jiraiya grumbled, rubbing his head.

Hinata giggled behind her hand. Naruto just sighed — he was long used to their antics.

Tsunade crossed her arms. "Alright, enough fooling around. We should hurry — the Kage and Daimyōs are probably already at the village gate."

Naruto nodded. "In that case, I'll use the Flying Thunder God Technique. Kakashi still has my marker."

Everyone gathered close, holding hands as Naruto formed a quick hand seal.

"Flying Thunder God Technique!"

In a flash of golden light, they vanished.

At the main gate of Konoha, the Four Daimyōs and the Four Kage were already gathered. Kakashi stood beside the Fire Daimyō, who was fanning himself.

"Kakashi, where are Naruto and the others?" the Fire Daimyō asked curiously.

Kakashi chuckled. "They'll be here any second now, Daimyō-sama."

Right on cue, a golden flash appeared beside him — Naruto and his group materialized instantly. The guards nearby were momentarily stunned.

The Daimyō of the Land of Water laughed heartily. "Hahaha! The Yellow Flash returns!"

Many of the Kage and Daimyō still remembered the terror of Minato Namikaze, whose speed changed the course of wars. His presence alone commanded respect.

Naruto rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "Sorry, everyone! I woke up a little late!"

The Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, chuckled knowingly. "Hah! I understand completely. It was your wedding night, after all!"

The crowd burst into laughter. Even the usually stern Raikage cracked a small grin. The mood was light — warm and familiar.

Kakashi stepped forward respectfully. "Thank you all for attending the wedding. Please forgive any shortcomings in our hospitality."

The Daimyō of Lightning smiled kindly. "No need, Hokage-dono. It was a beautiful ceremony."

Naruto turned toward Gaara, who stood beside the Sand Daimyō. "Gaara, thank you for everything — I really owe you and the Sand Village."

Gaara placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Don't mention it. For you, it was only natural. That's what friends — brothers — are for."

Naruto nodded with gratitude.

Then Kankurō called out, grinning. "Hey Naruto! We'll head out now. By the way, Temari's still here, so tell Shikamaru to take good care of her — or better yet, not let her come back!"

"Kankurō!" Gaara snapped, glaring at his brother.

Kankurō scratched his head sheepishly. "Just kidding!"

Naruto laughed. "Don't worry, Shikamaru will take great care of her."

Gaara smirked faintly. "I know. He'd better."

With that, the Sand group departed, escorting their Daimyō back home.

One by one, the remaining Kage and Daimyōs began to leave, their entourages following behind.

Kakashi exhaled softly, lowering his shoulders. "Phew… It's finally over."

Naruto smiled. "Kakashi-sensei, thank you for everything. You really worked hard."

Kakashi waved a hand. "It's fine, it's fine. Your wedding turned into a world summit, but it all went smoothly. Still, I think I've earned a few days off."

Tsunade chuckled. "You did well, Kakashi. Organization, security, diplomacy — not bad at all."

Kakashi rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed. "Ahaha, thank you, Tsunade-sama. Honestly, it wouldn't have gone this well without Shizune and the others."

Jiraiya stretched and yawned. "Man… the village feels so quiet now. From all that noise to this — it's kinda lonely, huh?"

Naruto grinned. "Pervy Sage… between you and Granny Tsunade—"

"Eh?" Jiraiya froze mid-sentence, a light blush creeping onto his face. "Come on now, don't start that!"

"Hmph." Tsunade snorted and turned on her heel, walking away briskly.

Naruto and Kakashi exchanged confused glances, while Minato and Kushina looked just as puzzled.

"Uh… Pervy Sage, what was that about?" Naruto asked.

Jiraiya sighed dramatically. "The date's not finalized yet, that's all."

Naruto blinked. "???"

Everyone burst into laughter.

And just like that, under the bright Konoha sun, the great wedding of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga came to its peaceful close — a new chapter of happiness beginning for them both.
