Toneri Ōtsutsuki's face twisted in fury as he realized his Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion had been blocked.
"You dare resist my ultimate move?! Then die!!!"
His chakra surged violently, the golden lightsaber in his hand extending, glowing brighter and hotter as he poured more power into it. He swung it furiously, hacking against Naruto's Truth-Seeking Ball shield, sparks of pure energy shrieking at each clash.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed. He could no longer stay still. With a flap of Susanoo's wings, he soared through the air, drawing his blade.
With a thunderous buzz, his massive Susanoo sword came down in a flash, cleaving straight toward Toneri.
Toneri's expression hardened. If he ignored Sasuke's strike, the blow could very well kill him outright.
"Tch!" With a hiss, Toneri pulled back, releasing his golden blade and retreating into the sky.
Sasuke's sword cut through empty air. He exhaled slowly, turning his gaze to Naruto.
"So that's the jutsu you mentioned—the one that can cut through a planet?"
Naruto, still steadying his breath, looked up at Toneri hovering above. He nodded grimly.
"Yeah. That's the one."
Sasuke's lips curved slightly.
"He's just as dangerous as you claimed. All the more reason not to waste time. Let's finish this together and capture him quickly—better to end this long night before it drags on."
Naruto shook his head.
"I could've handled it just now. You didn't need to step in."
Sasuke rolled his eyes.
"You're blaming me for helping?"
Naruto raised a hand in dismissal.
"That's not what I meant. I defeated him in my past life… and now I'm even stronger. This time, I'll be the one to take him down."
Sasuke frowned.
"Why insist on dragging this out? Wouldn't ending it together save time?"
Naruto inhaled deeply, his expression softening.
"Toneri doesn't just need to be defeated… he needs redemption."
Sasuke let out a sharp sigh, irritation flickering in his eyes.
"Redemption again. You never change, Naruto."
Still, deep down, Sasuke understood. If Naruto hadn't once sought to redeem him, he wouldn't be standing here today, returned to Konoha. He shook his head and allowed a faint smirk.
"Tch. Do as you please."
High above, Toneri sneered, his pale eyes shifting between them.
"So you think only you can call for help? Watch closely—I have allies of my own!"
He clapped his hands together. The ground below trembled violently as a massive stone construct began to rise. It shaped itself into a towering Stone Golem, roaring as it came alive with chakra.
Naruto's eyes narrowed in recognition.
"This… the same Stone Golem that gave Kurama trouble in my previous life!"
The colossal creature bellowed and leapt, targeting Sasuke.
Sasuke scoffed.
"Stones? You're mocking me."
With a single swing of his Susanoo blade, Sasuke cleaved the golem clean in half.
"Pathetic."
But his confidence faltered when the severed pieces of rock writhed, pulling back together, re-forming the Stone Golem as if nothing had happened.
"Tch…" Sasuke clicked his tongue.
From above, Naruto called out while clashing with Toneri,
"Sasuke! You can't destroy that thing with simple slashes! It'll just keep reforming!"
Before Naruto could elaborate, Toneri lunged again, forcing him back into battle.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed.
"Then I'll test it my way."
With lightning speed, he swung his blade once more, reducing the golem to rubble. He smirked.
"Let's see you recover from that."
But once again, the stones rolled together, reassembling into the hulking monster.
Sasuke's jaw tightened.
"Persistent bastard. Fine… then I'll incinerate you to ash."
His Mangekyō Sharingan spun violently, and black flames erupted.
"Amaterasu!"
The Stone Golem writhed, engulfed in unquenchable flame.
Meanwhile, in the skies above, Toneri launched his counterattack. He spread his arms, Truth-Seeking Balls orbiting him like blazing satellites. Infused with Tenseigan chakra, they ignited with eerie blue flames before firing like a storm of cannonballs toward Naruto.
Naruto's eyes sharpened.
"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
With a resounding bang bang bang, thousands of clones filled the battlefield, rushing Toneri from every angle. The barrage of glowing spheres tore through many of them, but the sheer number created gaps—openings Naruto could exploit.
"Don't even think about it!" Toneri roared, hurling his orbs as fast as a machine gun.
Naruto darted forward, repelling the barrage with a burst of gravity.
"Shinra Tensei!"
A wave of force parted the assault as Naruto shot toward Toneri.
Toneri's eyes glinted as he identified the real Naruto. He focused all his chakra, hurling several Truth-Seeking Balls directly at him.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each impact shook Naruto's barrier. He gritted his teeth, forcing his way through.
Dozens of clones remained, and they hurled kunai from every direction.
Toneri scoffed.
"Pathetic. You think mere kunai can harm me?"
But then—Naruto vanished.
One of the kunai whistled behind Toneri. A sudden flash—Naruto appeared at its mark, his hand glowing with a spiraling Rasengan.
"You're too naïve, Toneri!"
Toneri's pupils shrank.
"This—! Flying Thunder God Jutsu?!"
He spun, deploying his Truth-Seeking Balls defensively. But just as he braced, Naruto's body flickered—gone again.
"Huh?!"
Another kunai lay before him. Naruto reappeared instantly, Sage markings glowing around his eyes. His voice rang out firm and calm:
"This is Flying Thunder God, Second Stage… combined with Sage Mode!"
With a deafening roar, Naruto slammed his Rasengan into Toneri's chest.
"Sage Art: Rasengan!!!"
The impact hurled Toneri from the sky like a missile. His body smashed into the ground, creating a massive crater, his protective flames flickering violently. Blood spilled from the corner of his lips.
"Arghhh!" Toneri coughed, staggering to his knees.
Naruto landed hard, pressing the attack, nearly kicking Toneri into another pit. Toneri barely rolled away, desperation creeping into his once-arrogant eyes.
"You… damn you…!"
Panting, he summoned all his remaining strength. His Truth-Seeking Balls floated upward, turning from black to blue, then to radiant gold. They strung together, merging into a gigantic golden sphere.
Naruto's eyes narrowed.
"He's going for the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion again."
Toneri roared, his face contorted with rage.
"This ends now! Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!!!"
The titanic lightsaber of golden chakra expanded, threatening to split the land itself. He thrust it forward with all his might.
"Die, Naruto Uzumaki!!!"
But Naruto didn't flinch. His own Truth-Seeking Balls wrapped around his hand, forming a jet-black shield.
"The one who ends this… is me, Toneri!"
He pushed forward, colliding with the golden blade. For a moment, the sky split with blinding light, the clash of their powers shaking the heavens.
Naruto roared, forcing chakra into his defense. With Kurama's arms supporting him, he twisted, wrapping Toneri's arm in his Truth-Seeking Ball shield. The golden blade fizzled out instantly.
Toneri's eyes went wide.
"Impossible! My ultimate jutsu—extinguished?!"
Naruto's fist shot forward, crashing into Toneri's cheek.
"Wake up already, you fool!!!"
Boom!
The ground cracked with the force of the blow, Toneri's body flung back violently. He tumbled across the battlefield, finally crashing into a distant mountain, rubble collapsing over him. The green-blue flames around his body sputtered out.
At the same moment, Sasuke's Amaterasu consumed the Stone Golem entirely, reducing it to nothing but smoldering ash. He exhaled sharply, sheathing his blade.
"Hmph. Annoying pest."
Naruto, breathing heavily, wasted no time. He formed seals, slamming his palms together.
"Sealing Jutsu!"
Chains of chakra wrapped around Toneri's weakened body, pinning him to the ground.
Toneri struggled, glaring at Naruto.
"You… how do you know what I planned?!"
Naruto's eyes were calm but firm.
"I know you wanted to summon the countless Byakugan that make up the Tenseigan, to shift the moon itself… to destroy Earth. But that ends here, Toneri. I won't let you carry out that twisted plan."
Toneri's face twisted with shock and despair.
"You… you can't possibly know my innermost thoughts!"
Naruto crouched before him, gaze unwavering.
"Because I've already lived this battle once before. And this time… I'll save you too."
