Seeing Hashirama, Tobirama, and Sasuke rushing toward him, Madara Uchiha snorted coldly.
"Hmph, let me show you something interesting."
With that, Madara activated his Rinnegan.
"Limbo: Border Jail!"
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. Madara wasn't dodging his arrow. In fact, he made no defensive move at all. Instead, he just stood there, staring intently. Was he out of his mind after being revived?
Hashirama was confused as well. His Wood Dragon surged forward, yet Madara hadn't even activated his Susanoo. Why?
Tobirama noticed something was off and immediately warned, "Big brother, be careful!"
As he turned to check their rear flank, Tobirama noticed something odd—Naruto was still standing still. That made him frown. Wasn't Naruto supposed to move with Sasuke?
The result shocked everyone—Sasuke, Hashirama, and Tobirama alike.
Clang!
Sasuke's chakra-infused arrow was suddenly deflected by an invisible force.
Hashirama's Wood Dragon was cleanly sliced in half by an unseen slash.
"What the...?" Hashirama was stunned.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed, his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan spinning wildly, trying to analyze what just happened—but he didn't understand it!
Sasuke currently didn't possess the Rinnegan. His eye had been taken by Obito, who had become the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki. Both eyes had transformed into Rinnegan, and now they had returned to Madara.
Tobirama spoke sharply, "Big brother, this isn't right! Something's strange—stop advancing!"
Sasuke clicked his tongue but continued forward, unafraid, activating his Complete Body Susanoo and charging in.
Boom!
In an instant, the massive Susanoo was kicked away by an invisible force.
Tobirama cursed loudly, "Damn Uchiha brat! Why can't you listen to a word I say?! Naruto! Why are you still standing there?!"
The other shinobi—Minato, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, and the Five Kage—all tensed up but instinctively looked to Naruto, waiting for his response.
Naruto suddenly formed a hand seal.
A low humming sound rippled across the battlefield, pulling Sasuke back in a flash.
Tobirama frowned. "What's he doing?"
Then, Tobirama was sent flying by another invisible strike.
"Tobirama!" Hashirama yelled.
But in the next moment, he too was attacked by an unseen force and thrown off the Wood Golem.
"Damn it! What on earth is this?"
Before Hashirama could regain his footing, Madara appeared before him.
"Hashirama... I told you, I will obtain you."
Since Madara was shirtless from the waist up, Hashirama could see the grotesque face of himself transplanted onto Madara's chest.
As Hashirama tried to resist, invisible arms locked his hands in place. Only then did he understand: he was being restrained by a force in a realm they couldn't perceive.
"Madara... this is a new ability of your Rinnegan!"
Madara chuckled. "You realize it now? Too late."
He grabbed Hashirama by the neck.
"Arghhh!"
Madara began absorbing Hashirama's Sage Mode chakra.
"This Sage power... it's not much," Madara scoffed.
A swirling curse mark began spreading across Madara's chest and Hashirama's face—proof of Sage Jutsu absorption.
"With the fusion of these two powers, true peace can be achieved. But you never understood that, Hashirama. Even that little Obito brat started to question it in the end. What a waste."
Hashirama, now drained, looked pale and weakened.
Tobirama climbed to his feet and saw Madara draining his brother's chakra.
"Madara, you bastard! Stop!"
He lunged forward, kunai in hand.
Madara moved slightly, conjured a black Truth-Seeking Orb staff in one hand, and deflected Tobirama's kunai.
Just as Madara prepared to strike, Tobirama teleported twice using Flying Thunder God, caught his kunai mid-air, reappeared behind Madara, and growled, "Got you!"
But Madara didn't even turn around. As a deep chime rang out, Tobirama realized—he couldn't move!
"What... what kind of power is this?!"
Madara sneered and grabbed Tobirama's arm. With his other hand, he yanked Tobirama downward and stabbed a black rod through him into the ground.
He then broke the rod off and hurled another toward Tobirama's head and body.
One after another, black rods pierced Tobirama's limbs and torso, pinning him in place.
"I've wanted to do this for a long time. A guy like you..."
"You... Izuna..."
Hashirama's eyes flared. "Stop, Madara! If you want to fight someone, fight me!"
Hiruzen, watching the brutal scene, couldn't bear it anymore.
"Nidaime!!!"
Tobirama had been his mentor, the Hokage who placed Konoha in his care. Seeing him degraded like that was unbearable.
Sarutobi roared and charged forward with Enma transformed into a golden staff.
Jiraiya tried to restrain him. "Old man! Don't be reckless!"
Minato glanced at Naruto and asked, "Naruto... is it time yet?"
Naruto nodded, expression grim.
Jiraiya muttered under his breath, "Damn it, Naruto... the future you described is coming true after all."
Naruto inhaled deeply. "Let's take a gamble."
Minato: "...?"
Jiraiya: "...?"
Both were stunned.
Naruto had always spoken with clarity, always knowing what came next. But now he said he was betting everything?
Minato began to worry. Naruto had told him everything—his rebirth, the future he'd lived. He was supposed to have all the answers. And yet now, even he was gambling?
Jiraiya frowned. "Naruto, the fate of the entire ninja world is on the line. You can't bet on a whim. You need to coordinate with us."
"Jiraiya-sensei!"
Minato interjected. "I believe in Naruto. You're his master—you should too."
Jiraiya sighed. "Right... he's the Child of Prophecy, after all."
Tsunade, watching her grandfather and granduncle suffer, couldn't remain calm. She stepped forward, intent on joining the fight.
Jiraiya stopped her. "Tsunade, don't! They're reanimated; they'll be fine!"
"I can't stand by and watch my family suffer!"
She activated her monstrous strength and broke free from Jiraiya's grip. Just as she prepared to leap forward, a giant Nine Tails chakra hand slammed down in front of her.
"Tsunade-sama!"
Naruto's voice was calm. He didn't even look at her. "Wait. It's almost time."
Sasuke frowned, catching onto Naruto's intent. "You're seriously going to let him achieve his goal before we act, Naruto?"
Naruto smiled slightly, his gaze fixed on Madara. "Yes. I'm waiting for someone."
On the battlefield, Madara had now dealt with Hiruzen as well. The Third Hokage was pinned beside Tobirama with black rods jutting from his body.
"I'm sorry... Lord First... Lord Second... I failed to protect you."
Tobirama scoffed. "Monkey, you're strong. But even if you lose to this guy, I won't blame you."
Hashirama shouted, "Madara! Don't make the same mistake again. You've already defied the natural order by returning to this world. If you continue, heaven will punish you!"
Madara burst out laughing—classic Uchiha laughter.
"Punishment from heaven? I'm about to become immortal! You think I fear heaven?!"
With a smirk, Madara formed a hand seal. At that moment, Black Zetsu detached from Obito's body, and Obito was dragged toward Madara, seemingly unable to resist.
Madara placed his palm on Obito's chest and began to absorb chakra.
"Arghhhhh!"
Obito's pained scream echoed across the battlefield.
"Obito!!!" Rin cried, trying to rush over.
Kakashi held her back.
In seconds, Madara absorbed the power of the Ten Tails from Obito and ascended.
His hair changed color. His skin glowed with markings. Black orbs floated behind him like a halo.
"The power of the Sage of Six Paths... incredible."
Madara clenched his fist, the power coursing through his body overwhelming.
Six Paths Madara had arrived.
