The Fourth Raikage narrowed his eyes, his teeth clenched. "That thing's massive... Tsunade, get your monstrous strength ready. Tailed Beasts aren't a joke—I've seen what the Eight Tails is capable of firsthand."
As he spoke, the Raikage activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode at full power. A crackling aura of blue electricity enveloped him, his muscles tensing as he prepared to launch.
"I'll go first and test just how strong this Ten Tails really is!"
"Raikage, wait!" Tsunade called out, alarmed.
But it was too late. With a thunderous whoosh, the Raikage bolted forward like a living bolt of lightning.
"BOSS!" Darui shouted in shock.
The Raikage's speed peaked—his cell stimulation enhanced to the absolute limit. He was well aware that the Ten Tails was far beyond the Eight Tails in raw power. Still, as the strongest among the current Five Kage, he had confidence in his ability to at least test its strength.
"HAAAAAAAH! Let's see what you've got, beast!" the Raikage roared as he launched a ferocious blow.
Madara, seeing the oncoming Raikage, chuckled coldly. "Brave, I'll give him that. But as a Kage, he clearly overestimates himself. Courage is admirable—but running headfirst into a monster like this? Utterly foolish."
Obito's expression remained cold as they commanded the Ten Tails to swipe its claw-like limbs toward the charging Kage.
"Don't underestimate me!" the Raikage growled as he leapt high into the air and came crashing down, lightning flashing from his fists.
But the Ten Tails didn't even flinch.
With a flick of its massive tail, it hissed and whipped it toward the Raikage with terrifying speed.
The Raikage's eyes widened in shock. "So fast...!"
With no chance to reach the main body, he redirected his attack toward the tail instead.
"Lightning Release: Thunderclap Bomb!"
He slammed down his fist, releasing a wave of electrified chakra that exploded violently on impact.
"RAAAH! BREAK!!!"
But Obito's chakra surged as he poured more power into the Ten Tails. The tail slammed down hard, countering the Raikage's full-force attack with ease. The ground trembled under the pressure.
"Tch...!" the Raikage cursed, startled. That single tail had nullified his strongest offensive strike.
Seeing the tail about to hit him again, the Raikage quickly dodged—but just as he evaded, another tail came sweeping in from the side.
"Damn it—!" he grunted, caught mid-air with no time to reposition. He raised his arms and cranked his Lightning Armor to the max, crossing them in front of him to block.
BOOM!
The impact sent him flying like a ragdoll, his body crashing through the air before slamming into the ground with a thunderous shockwave that carved a massive crater into the earth.
"BOSS!" Darui cried, horrified.
"Raikage-sama!" C (Shi) called out, immediately activating his sensory abilities.
Fortunately, he sensed that the Raikage's life force was still intact.
Gaara quickly raised a giant hand of sand to cushion the impact—but the Raikage's momentum was too powerful, and he tore through the sand barrier effortlessly.
THUD!
Dust flew into the air as he embedded into the earth, unmoving.
"Boss!"
Darui leapt down, closely followed by C, both rushing to his side.
The Raikage was lying in the crater, gritting his teeth, his face twisted in pain.
"Tch... That Ten Tails is insanely strong."
C checked his vitals. "Two ribs broken. Raikage-sama, hold still—I'll begin treatment immediately."
Suddenly, a golden blur appeared beside them.
"Let me handle it."
It was Tsunade.
C quickly stepped back and bowed. "Thank you, Lady Hokage."
Tsunade placed her glowing palm on the Raikage's chest and channeled her chakra.
"You reckless idiot," she muttered. "Charging in without a plan—do you want to die?"
The Raikage sighed. "I didn't think it would be this strong..."
Meanwhile, the battle raged on.
Gaara summoned a massive wave of sand to bind the Ten Tails' movements. In the air, Ōnoki hovered with the aid of his Particle Style: Kekkei Tōta. With a grim look, he formed a seal.
"Dust Release: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!"
A white cube shot forth, aiming directly at Madara and Obito.
Terumi Mei, the Fifth Mizukage, dropped from above, unleashing her Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique. Her attack was dual-purpose—aimed at both the Ten Tails and its two controllers.
The battlefield trembled from the sheer force of the Kage's combined assault.
Watching from the rear, Hiruzen Sarutobi observed the chaos.
"Naruto, shouldn't we assist them?" the Third Hokage asked.
Naruto nodded. "Shikaku-san is still analyzing the Ten Tails' attack patterns. We need a proper strategy."
The Third Hokage nodded in understanding. "So the Kage are probing its strength."
Tobirama Senju narrowed his eyes.
"They're still flesh and blood. If they're seriously injured, it could cripple our whole formation. Naruto, allow us—who are reincarnated and can't die—to test the enemy instead."
Naruto gave a firm nod. "All right. Go ahead, Lord Second."
Hashirama grinned. "Naruto, I may not fully understand your plan, but I can tell you're keeping Madara on the back foot. I'll follow your lead."
Naruto smiled back. "Thank you, First Hokage."
Hashirama turned to his fellow Hokage. "Everyone—let's go!"
Whoosh, whoosh!
All four Hokage—Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato—darted forward.
"Sage Art: Shinsu Senju!"
With that, Hashirama summoned his colossal Buddha statue, arms folding outward like divine wrath incarnate.
Madara's eyes twitched. "Again with that damn Buddha. You think that oversized puppet can stand up to the Ten Tails?"
He rushed forward, eyes burning with anticipation.
Tobirama vanished in a flicker, reappearing atop the Ten Tails' head and marking both its eyes with Flying Thunder God seals.
The Ten Tails roared, furious, and lashed out—grabbing Tobirama in its hand.
But Tobirama grinned.
"Tandem Paper Bomb!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
His body began to unravel—transforming into a cascade of explosive tags. As an Edo Tensei, his body reformed endlessly as the detonation cycle continued. The explosion blinded the Ten Tails momentarily.
"Now!" Hashirama bellowed, driving his wooden construct into a full-force charge.
"Madara! Prepare yourself!"
Obito frowned. "They're blinding the Ten Tails to hit it head-on with brute force? A distraction tactic."
Madara scoffed. "Tch. Useless. Tactics don't matter against absolute power."
Suddenly—
Whizz!
A kunai marked with a Flying Thunder God seal landed near them.
"Hm?" Obito's Rinnegan pulsed.
"Damn—it's the Flying Thunder God!"
He immediately activated his left eye's Mangekyō Sharingan and began shifting into Kamui's dimension for safety.
"Fire Style: Blazing Dance!"
A spiraling wall of fire surged in, coiling like a flaming dragon—Minato Namikaze appeared in a flash beside him, accompanied by the Third Hokage.
The counterattack had begun.
