With a loud bang, a massive cloud of white smoke erupted, revealing a gigantic clam.
Gengetsu Hōzuki laughed and said, "Be careful, I'm a Hidden Mist shinobi. This giant clam can cast wide-range Genjutsu. It'll trap you in illusions. Physical attacks won't work on it. It's all just a mirage!"
Gaara gave a small nod. "I can't feel any killing intent from you."
Gengetsu squinted and replied, "Do you really need to say that? Of course I don't mean harm. You've already taken down Mū and the Third Raikage. Might as well get it over with and seal me too!"
But before he could say anything further, Kabuto took control of Gengetsu's body.
Gaara's eyes narrowed.
Shadow Clone Naruto, Senju Tobirama, and Sarutobi Hiruzen immediately flashed to Gaara's side.
Ōnoki floated over as well. "Naruto, I didn't expect you to come in and neutralize two resurrected Kage so quickly!"
Naruto tilted his head with a grin. "Of course. I brought two powerhouses with me!"
Hiruzen smiled. "I didn't even get the chance to act. It was mostly the Second Hokage."
Senju Tobirama folded his arms arrogantly. "Those guys were Kage in my era. Just some has-beens."
Hearing Tobirama's words, Gengetsu growled, irritated. "Hey! Don't get cocky, Tobirama! You never beat me in battle, remember?!"
Tobirama sneered, "You always ran away when things got tough. And you think you're a match for me?"
Gengetsu grit his teeth. "You damn bastard! If I don't teach you a lesson, you'll never know how terrifying I can be!"
"Oh? Then show me," Tobirama said with a smirk.
Kabuto grinned in satisfaction. Good. Let Gengetsu go all out. It bought him time to prepare another trump card—a monster even Obito would fear.
Suddenly, water spread beneath Gengetsu's feet, soaking the earth. Bubbles popped all across the field.
Gengetsu laughed. "Tobirama, aren't you so good with explosions? Come, explode me if you can!"
Tobirama frowned. "Monkey, let's go!"
"Right!" Hiruzen replied, energized like he was back in his youth, fighting alongside Tobirama again.
"Water Gun Technique!" Gengetsu roared, sending countless water bullets flying.
Tobirama quickly weaved hand signs. "Water Style: Water Wall Barrier!"
A massive wall of water surged upward, canceling the barrage.
Behind them, Kirigakure ninjas were stunned.
"Unbelievable. Second Hokage can use our village's Water Style techniques... and create such a water source without a lake nearby."
"Of course," a Konoha ninja said proudly. "He's the younger brother of the First Hokage and teacher of the Third. He's called the Master of Forbidden Techniques for a reason."
A Kumogakure ninja nodded. "I worked in our village's Scroll Archive. There's a phrase in the old records: 'Of a thousand forbidden jutsu, Tobirama created half.'"
Even if exaggerated, it showed how many Ninjutsu Tobirama had invented.
Gengetsu cursed. "You bastard! Even using our village's jutsu! Does Konoha even have its own techniques?!"
Tobirama shrugged. "Got a problem with that?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen immediately shouted, "Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"
A massive fire dragon launched toward Gengetsu. The Third Hokage, from the Sarutobi Clan, was known for his Fire Style, second only to the Uchiha.
But the flame dragon passed straight through Gengetsu, hitting the sand mound behind.
Hiruzen frowned. "What?!"
Gaara narrowed his eyes. "Is this like the masked man's intangibility?"
Ōnoki shook his head. "No, this is Genjutsu."
Tobirama agreed. "He's only a mirage right now. The real body is hidden within the clam. Destroy that and the illusion ends."
Gaara nodded, his mind already working. His eye of sand floated upward, casting vision across the area.
"Tsuchikage-sama!"
Ōnoki locked eyes with him and nodded. "Understood."
He rose into the sky, hands forming a seal. As the flowing sand revealed the clam's location, he shouted, "Dust Style: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"
With a loud chirp, the enormous clam was shattered.
Gaara swept his sand forward at Gengetsu.
Tobirama mocked, "Done already? Second Mizukage, you disappoint."
Gengetsu growled. "You smug bastard..."
Layer upon layer of sand wrapped around him, sealing tags slapped on. But his body kept leaking oil and water, soaking through and breaking the seal.
Tobirama sighed, as if lecturing a student. "Come on, kid from Sunagakure. Put some real effort in!"
Gaara didn't respond. He waved both hands, layering sand like stonework.
"Desert Layered Imperial Funeral!"
Tobirama nodded in satisfaction.
The sealing squad shouted, "Everyone, throw all your talismans, now! Captain Gaara's technique bought us a window!"
Dozens of kunai embedded with tags rained onto the dunes. The squad weaved signs together.
A bright lock seal appeared. Gengetsu was finally sealed.
Ōnoki descended, nodding. "Excellent."
Only Naruto, his Shadow Clone still active, furrowed his brow.
This didn't feel right. He remembered that after dealing with the Third Raikage, Gaara's fight still hadn't ended.
Tobirama suddenly scowled.
Boom!
The pyramid-shaped sand seal exploded.
A massive air blast erupted, followed by a wave of white steam!
Ōnoki stared in disbelief. "No... it can't be!"
Gaara asked, "What's wrong? Is it Genjutsu again?"
Ōnoki shook his head. "No. It's the Infinite Explosion Technique. The one that gave even my predecessor migraines!"
Tobirama crossed his arms and smirked. "So it's that one, huh?"
In the rising mist, Gengetsu emerged again, grinning wildly.
"Tobirama! Think you're so great? Let me show you that my Infinite Explosion Technique surpasses your Tandem Paper Bombs!"
The mist cleared. Gengetsu Hōzuki stood ready—intent on going all out for a final duel.
