Brandon stood near the edge of the bed, pulling a clean pair of pants up over his hips.
The morning light filtered in through the half-drawn curtains, casting a soft glow across the room.
His shirt still lay folded on the chair nearby, leaving his upper body bare as he adjusted the waistband.

Charlotte stepped inside.
She paused just past the threshold, and her gaze softened before she closed the door behind her with a soft click.
Brandon glanced over his shoulder.
"…Charlotte."
She walked further into the room, glancing at his body "You're heading out?"
Eh? Brandon turned more fully toward her and looked at her in confusion "Did you forget you asked for a date yesterday? I am dressing for that."
