After Brandon disappeared upstairs with Camille still draped over his shoulder, the living room remained quiet for a few moments.
Naevora stood up, smoothed the front of her clothes, and gave the remaining women a brief nod before walking out of the room without a word.
Kiera followed soon after.
She rose from the couch a little too quickly and muttered something vague about needing air before making her own exit.
That left Eira, Yverine, Dhayun, Jiyeon, and Selene clustered together near the end of the couch.
Eira leaned in toward Yverine, saying something under her breath that made the other woman shake her head with a reluctant smile.
Dhayun and Jiyeon exchanged a look and both covered their mouths as they tried to hold back soft laughter.
Selene, still not entirely sure what she had missed, looked between them with curious eyes.
A few more quiet comments passed between the group.
Then, one by one, they stood up as well.
